George Clooney and his wife Amal Clooney have received French citizenship.
The couple and their 8-year-old twins, Alexander, and Ella, have been granted citizenship by the country according the a naturalization decree obtained by a French newspaper and seen by People.

George owns a family home in France, which is now his primary residence, and an estate in England. He also has a property in Kentucky and a villa in Italy.
During a previous interview with Esquire, he opened about why he and Amal wanted to raise their twins outside of Hollywood.
“I felt like they were never going to get a fair shake at life,” he said. “France — they kind of don’t give a s–t about fame. I don’t want them to be walking around worried about paparazzi. I don’t want them being compared to somebody else’s famous kids.”
