Frosty overnight, sun Thursday & Friday

[ad_1]

PORTLAND, Oregon — We’ve got a cold one on tap tonight across the Northwest. Frost Advisories and Freeze Warnings are up for much of the region, save the coast and the Portland Metro area where the urban heat island effect will keep temperatures warmer than rural areas.

It will be a mostly sunny but cool afternoon; valley highs will be in the upper 50s.

Warmer weather returns Friday with more sunshine and east winds. That’s ahead of a weather system that brings showers Saturday.

This is the first of several weather systems that will keep the Northwest wet and cool for most of next week.

Look for potentially substantial snow in the Cascades beginning Sunday night.
