Frost Advisory issued for parts of the Willamette Valley Wednesday

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Chilly fall weather returns early Wednesday morning for much of the Willamette Valley.

Much of the Portland-Vancouver metro area will steer clear of frosty morning conditions, but a few low lying areas along the Willamette Valley have the potential to see temperatures fall to nearly freezing.

Those worried about sensitive plants should cover them or bring them in overnight. Making sure pets are brought indoors will help keep them safe from these chilly morning conditions.

Below freezing temperatures are possible east of the Cascades as temperatures are expected to fall into the upper 20s to freezing Wednesday morning.

Afternoon sunshine will help warm Portland area temperatures to the mid to upper 60s by Wednesday afternoon. The threat of morning frost fades later in the week.
