TOWNSEND — The Friends of the Townsend Public Library are once again thrilled to host its annual Haunted Trail — this year with a haunting apocalypse theme.
The Haunted Trail will take place from 7 until 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, in the parking lot of the Townsend Public Library, 12 Dudley Road.
Festivities will kick off at 5 p.m., with food trucks, spooky vendors, crafts, music, and fun photo ops. Tickets for the trail will also go on sale at this time.
“The usual question about the Haunted Trail is, ‘Is it scary?’”, said Karen Clement, a volunteer for the Friends of the Townsend Library/Haunted Trail coordinator. “My answer is yes, it can be scary, so we ask that you use your discretion.”
Clement adds that the trail winds through a wooded area, so participants should wear appropriate footwear, and be aware that strobe lights may be in use.
Tickets are $10 (cash only) or $9 with a food donation for the TEO Townsend Food Pantry. Ages 3-under are admitted free (no strollers are allowed on trail).
Proceeds will benefit the Friends of the Townsend Public Library and the Townsend VFW. Please note rain date is Oct. 12.
For more information, you are welcome to e-mail Karen Clement at clem6six@verizon.net.
