French Musician Victorien Delivers ‘Proustian Pop’ in His Debut Album ‘Il faudra le faire’ – Culture Fix

Star Academy favourite Victorien releases his debut album Il faudra le faire, a sumptuous mix of intimate yet accessible pop tunes, spearheaded by recent singles Mieux comme ça, Danse Dans Paris and Balade À Deux.

Album release notes share: “Born in Fontainebleau and raised on Brassens and Brel, Victorien transforms his lyrics into songs imbued with melancholy. After his participation in season 11 of Star Academy, a first EP “Me voilà.” and sold-out concerts, he released his first album “Il faudra le faire” on October 31, 2025. Twelve tracks woven like fragments of life, where the simplicity of the melodies and the depth of the words create a “Proustian pop,” intimate and universal, oscillating between nostalgia and light.”

The star reflects on the release of his debut album: “Because this first album is a bit like a jump into a void, but always with people to catch me when I fall a little too long! A year of work condensed into 12 songs, I don’t even know what state I’m in today, probably a mixture of excitement and fear! But that’s it, it’s here, to you and for you!”

After beginning to learn his craft during lockdown, Victorien soon caught online attention via his impressive cover versions before launching a career with original music and starring in French series Star Academy, abandoning an early career in oyster farming—a decent trade-off, we would say. He released his debut EP, Me voilà, in 2024 and has since followed the set with a number of impressive original cuts including his debut LP.
