GREENSBORO, N.C. (WTVD) — A former North Carolina officer is facing felony charges and has been fired after she was arrested in a domestic-related incident in another county.
According to the Greensboro Police Department, one of their officers was arrested and charged Saturday in Alamance County.
The department says the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office charged Morgan Hill with shooting into an occupied dwelling (which is a felony) and injury to real property.
The alleged crime happened around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, according to the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office. The sheriff’s office notified Greensboro police shortly after 1 p.m.
No one was injured after the shots were fired.
Hill’s employment with the Greensboro Police Department was terminated after Police Chief John Thompson was made aware of the investigation and the seriousness of the allegations.
Hill was booked into the Alamance County Detention Center. She’s being held without bond until her court appearance on Monday.
A spokesman for the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office said their investigation is ongoing.
The Greensboro Police Department’s Professional Standards Division says they are conducting an internal investigation.
