Fire damages shopping center in Uwchlan Twp., Chester County

UWCHLAN TWP., Pa. (WPVI) — A fire tore through a shopping center in Chester County.

Viewer video shows the scene at Wellington Road and Rice Boulevard in Uwchlan Township at 1:45 a.m. on Thursday morning.

Officials initally told Action News that a gas line rupture. Howeever, the fire mashal has since said it was an accidental fire that appears to have started outside, and not a gas line rupture.

The fire damaged properties in the Eagleview Town Square, including Brickside Grille and the Persis Indian Grill.

The cause of the fire is underinvestigation.
