Chicago artists Sima Cunningham and Macie Stewart previously released music together under the name Ohmme, and they’ve now announced their first full-length as Finom. The new album, Not God, is out May 24 via Joyful Noise. Leading the LP is “Haircut,” and it comes with a music video featuring the band a magician played by director Alex Grelle. Watch it below.

Cunningham (who works for the company that helps produce Pitchfork Music Festival) and Stewart recorded Not God with producer Jeff Tweedy at Wilco’s Loft studio in Chicago. Discussing today’s new song and video, the duo said in a press statement:

“Haircut” was written following the stream of suggested words from Macie’s phone robot. Somehow this intelligence intuited that we wanted to say “no” more—to control more of our own time. Alex Grelle, one of our favorite artists and collaborators, directed the video for us with a genius group of artists. We were inspired by this strange and beautiful France Gall short film that Jeff and Spencer Tweedy showed us while we were recording.
