Expedition Ola is a project the couple created that has gained popularity on social media, where the two use a camper as their home and mobile rescue unit in Baja Mexico. Now they are looking to replace it so they can expand and provide a safer operation, according to a GoFundMe spokesperson.
“We created Expedition Ola with a simple goal in mind, change the lives of a few dogs in need,” the couple said.
So far, the couple has saved 18 dogs in their first 6 months on the road. Each of them received “life-changing medical care”, soul healing adventures and a loving forever home.
“Nick and I survive off this money,” Allison explained. “We don’t build a future for ourselves but we survive, we save lives, and we have fun doing it!”
As of Wednesday, the pair has surpassed their $30,000 goal, but donations can still be made at their GoFundMe.
