EAST LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WWLP) – East Longmeadow’s annual 4th of July carnival continued Monday night to get people excited for the upcoming holiday. The annual carnival held at Leahy Field Monday evening provided an opportunity for families to come together and enjoy quality time.

Dozens of people showed up to enjoy all their favorite carnival staples, from rides and games to treats like popcorn, caramel apples, cotton candy and ice cream.

Cara Aiello, of East Longmeadow told 22News, “It’s a tradition for me, especially. I came here when I was younger and now to bring my own kids and their friends, it’s like a whole other. Watching them have fun is even more fun than I had. You know, just them experiencing what I had when I was a kid. It’s like, just awesome to witness.”

The carnival will continue to be held at 6 p.m. every night until the 4th of July when it will start at noon. The fireworks will occur on July 3rd at 9:30 p.m. at the high school.
