Dulan’s On Crenshaw calls on community to help save restaurant

SOUTH LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Dulan’s On Crenshaw has been serving the community for more than 30 years, and now the owner is asking for help.

“I enjoy serving the community, I enjoy serving others, and I just want everybody to come out and support,” he said. “Book a catering event, come have a party, or order some food to go or something like that.”

Dulan said he’s trying to work through some business struggles. He bought some real estate nearby with the goal of building a parking lot.
He temporarily closed the business to remodel the restaurant, which he says went over schedule and over budget.

“That proved to be more challenging than I anticipated, and so what I knew I had to do was finish the restaurant,” he said.

Since the renovation, a lot has changed. They’ve added two new patios, a second kitchen area and they did a complete overhaul of the interior.

One thing, however, stayed the same: the delicious food.

Dulan said since his call for support, the community has been showing up.

He said he’s trying to meet his financial goal to cover his loan by Saturday, September 6.
