On Aug. 17, around 12:11 a.m. officers were dispatched to Main Street and College Street due to a report that multiple shots were heard outside The Stag Bar. Physical evidence, video surveillance, and witness statements determined that multiple shots were fired from a moving vehicle, WPD said.
Evidence revealed to officers that the suspect directed gunshots at specific people and nearby businesses. Officers also identified the suspect’s vehicle as a silver Ford Equinox from video surveillance. Officials said probable cause led to a no-bail warrant for the suspect.
The driver was arrested and identified as Edwardo Orosco Barilla on Friday after the Yolo County Regional SWAT Team served a search warrant at two Woodland residences, according to WPD. Detectives located multiple firearms, ammunition, a bulletproof vest, and electronics.
Barilla is facing charges for attempted murder, shooting from a moving vehicle, assault with a semi-automatic firearm, and vandalism, WPD said. Anyone with further information about this shooting is encouraged to call the non-emergency line at 530-666-2411.
This is an ongoing investigation.
