Director Kristoffer Borgli took to Instagram to share the first behind-the-scenes photos from the set of A24’s Ari Aster-produced comedy film Dream Scenario.

The photos give us our first look at Nicolas Cage’s unnamed leading character, as the Oscar winner goes through another hair transformation. His character is previously described as a “schlubby professor who becomes famous after unexplainably appearing in everyone’s dreams.”

Dream Scenario is written and directed by Kristoffer Borgli. Further details about its plot and characters are still being kept under wraps. Cage will be joined by Michael Cera, Julianne Nicholson, Dylan Baker, Tim Meadows, Dylan Gelula, Kate Berlant, and more. The film is produced by Aster and Lars Knudsen for Square Peg, along with Jacob Jaffke, Tyler Campellone, and A24.

The upcoming project will officially be the latest collaboration with Aster and the studio, who have worked together on all of Aster’s films, such as Hereditary,  Midsommar, and the upcoming Disappointment Blvd. starring Joaquin Phoenix. However, Dream Scenario marks the first project that Aster won’t be directing.

Following well-received performances in the drama thriller Pig and the action comedy The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, Cage will next be seen in the Western drama film Butcher’s Crossing and Universal Pictures’ horror comedy film Renfield, where he’ll appear as  Dracula.
