Dinosaur Jr. Bring Out My Bloody Valentine’s Kevin Shields and Cover the Cure

Dinosaur Jr. joined forces with My Bloody Valentine’s Kevin Shields once again last night, covering the Cure’s “Just Like Heaven” at the third night of their London residency at the Garage, as Stereogum notes. The longtime pals, who reunited onstage at Dinosaur’s Rock Camp in 2019, also played “Tarpit,” from You’re Living All Over Me, and My Bloody Valentine’s You Made Me Realise track “Thorn.” Watch footage, and find photos taken by Dinosaur Jr.’s manager, Brian Schwartz, below.

Yesterday, Dinosaur Jr.’s J Mascis announced a new solo album, What Do We Do Now, with a video featuring David Cross, Todd Barry, Fred Armisen, and more. Dinosaur Jr.’s tour, which celebrates the 30th anniversary of Where You Been, comes to Brooklyn next month.
