[ad_1]

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is looking for two persons of interest in a kidnapping that injured a woman in her 30s. The woman was able to get away, but she didn’t recognize the two men who she says attacked her. The sheriff’s office released composites of the two persons of interest. The sheriff’s office said the kidnapping happened around 9 p.m. on Aug. 20 when a woman in her 30s was on her back porch. “She felt something strike her from behind,” said Cpl. Chanel Martin. She told deputies the blow “made her see fireworks.” From there, the woman told deputies two men dragged her to a wooded area. “They used some sort of material or rope to try and choke her and restrict her breathing,” Martin said. “The victim was able to, she had a pocket knife on her person and was able to remove the rope from her neck, and she was able to retreat away. She believes something scared off the two male suspects.”According to the report, when deputies arrived, they found a woman with a face covered in blood, who also seemed to have an injured leg and was holding a piece of rope with blood on it. The woman told deputies she didn’t know who the men were who did this. “She has no idea why someone would try to do this to her,” Martin said. WESH asked the sheriff’s office if people in Okahumpka should be worried and if the attack seemed random. “The detectives are trying to solidify that information,” Martin said. “They’re trying to figure out what possible motive they could have had. We don’t know the specifics.”They’re hoping a $1,000 reward for information will encourage people to come forward. Anyone with information can contact the Lake County Sheriff’s Office or submit the information through Crimeline.
