Dead body found in Sacramento trash facility under investigation

(FOX40.COM) — The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office is investigating how a dead body ended up in a local trash processing facility.

SCSO said the body was a man and was found around 6 p.m. on Friday in the 4700 block of Watt Avenue. Deputies suspect he was transported to the facility by a garbage truck from a dumpster or residential trash bin.

The body has not been connected to a murder, however, homicide detectives are at the scene.
