The 45-year-old man was charged for shooting at a mother and her two children in a vehicle.

WASHINGTON — A Maryland man found guilty of shooting at a woman and her two children inside a car during a road rage incident in 2021 has been sentenced to 32 years and six months in prison.

On May 19, 2021, Kenneth Miles Davis Jr., 45, of Maryland, was driving his Maserati GranTurismo on Kenilworth Avenue and Eastern Avenue, Northeast when he got out of the vehicle with a handgun.

Davis fired seven times into the car in front of them, which had a woman and her two children, ages 5 and 11, and then fired several times at bystanders.

The woman was suffered a gunshot wound to her upper arm and the 5-year-old was cut by broken glass.

The 11-year-old in the vehicle and bystanders were not injured.

Davis was found guilty of one count of assault with intent to kill while armed, three counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, and four counts of possession of a firearm during a crime of violence, after a three-week jury trial in January.
