A fire in Northeast DC saw 75 firefighters swiftly contain flames to two homes, preventing injuries. Investigators probe the cause and potential displacements.
WASHINGTON — Responding to a two-alarm fire in the 2100 block of 13th Street, Northeast, DC firefighters were able to keep the fire contained to two houses.
Fire officials say 20 units and 75 firefighters responded to the scene on Sunday.
When they arrived, the fire was located in the attic of one building — and it threatened two neighboring homes.
Photographs from the scene show flames shooting through the roof.
The fire did breach one adjacent home, but remained largely contained.
No one was reported injured during the incident.
Around the time of publication, investigators were still trying to determine the cause of the fire, and also how many people may be displaced.
