IVXN was one of the breakout music stars of the 2025 Eurovision season with his Dora entry Monopol, a standout track that established him as a musical force to be reckoned with. Since then, the star has been in the studio recording follow-up material, and now the performer, real name Ivan Milić, returns with Atacama.
Atacama opens with a slow-burning build that highlights IVXN’s smooth vocals before transforming into an electronic pop number that fuses his Croatian heritage with traditional instrumentation woven into the number. IVXN proves himself every bit the pop star on this powerhouse dance track, which will undoubtedly delight fans of Monopol.
The musician shared: “Atacama is finally out! I’m looking forward to sharing with you what my team and I have been working on for the last 6 months. I often get told that I should shoot more content, maybe show myself, my life, my personality. But it’s easier for me to express myself through music. I’ve woven a piece of me into this song and I hope you can feel it. I am extremely grateful for all your support, and I hope you will like Atacama.”
The track was written by Ananda Đuranović, Andreas Björkman, Ivan Milić and Jonas Ekdahl, with production by Björkman and Ekdahl. Its title references the Atacama Desert, one of the driest places in the world, tapping into themes of emotional desolation, with lyrics reflecting on a relationship that has burned out.
We’re delighted to have more new music from IVXN, a star we hope to eventually see on the Eurovision stage.
