Connecticut man breaks fair, state record with colossal 2,507 pound pumpkin

TOPSFIELD — The Topsfield Fair saw the largest pumpkin in its history, weighing 2,507 pounds, take home first place at the 41st annual Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off, breaking both the fair’s and the state of Connecticut’s record.

Alex Noel, of Abington, Connecticut, who has participated in the competition for the past 25 years, took home $10,525,000 in winnings for his giant pumpkin, which has been growing for the last 98 days.
