Come to Drunken Monkey to get your ears jingled and jangled bright and early, noise-style

As this hectic holiday season ramps up to its inevitable capitalist climax, why not treat yourself to a soothing morning of coffee and … noise?!

You read that right; Drunken Monkey kicks off the holiday week bright and (very) early at 9 a.m. with Thomas Milovac and Jonas Van den Bossche. These are two cats that can do it all, from swoon  to swing to skronk to shriek, so you’ll likely get a bit of everything — though on the more raucous side of the sonic spectrum.

Expect bass and guitar improv wildness worthy of a chaotic snowstorm. We think only Noise Feast in Tallahassee has attempted something this unhinged as far as the a.m. start time, and isn’t fearless audacity what the holiday season is all about? (It is not.)

9 a.m. Monday, Dec. 22, Drunken Monkey Coffee Bar, 444 N. Bumby Ave., instagram.com/drunkenmonkeycoffeebar, $5-$10.
