Clinton Camp Responds After New Epstein Photos Resurface

A renewed wave of attention around the Jeffrey Epstein case has placed familiar names back into public debate, including former President Bill Clinton.

On Dec. 19, the Department of Justice released additional Epstein related materials, prompting Clinton’s former chief of staff Angel Ureña to publicly challenge the narrative taking shape around the disclosure.

In a statement posted to X, Ureña criticized both the timing and intent behind the release, arguing that it was not about transparency.

“The White House hasn’t been hiding these files for months only to dump them late on a Friday to protect Bill Clinton,” he wrote. “This is about shielding themselves from what comes next, or from what they’ll try and hide forever.”

Ureña pushed back against the idea that resurfaced photos change any established facts about Clinton’s past. He dismissed the significance of the images, adding, “So they can release as many grainy, 20 plus year old photos as they want, but this isn’t about Bill Clinton. Never has, never will be.”

The materials were released under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, signed into law by Donald Trump, which requires the DOJ to disclose all unclassified records related to Epstein’s investigation and prosecution. Trump also appears in some of the released photos, a point Ureña suggested should not be ignored as the public processes who is being scrutinized and why.

Ureña also referenced recent remarks from White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, who stated there is “no evidence” that Clinton made numerous trips to Epstein’s private island, Little St. James. That comment directly challenges years of speculation that Clinton has consistently denied.

Expanding on that point, Ureña divided those connected to Epstein into two categories. “There are two types of people here,” he wrote. “The first group knew nothing and cut Epstein off before his crimes came to light. The second group continued relationships with him after. We’re in the first. No amount of stalling by people in the second group will change that.”

The DOJ release included photos showing Clinton in social settings with Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell, including a poolside image and another believed to have been taken aboard a private jet. Faces of additional individuals in the images were redacted, but the visuals quickly reignited online debate and political commentary.

Clinton’s response to these allegations has remained unchanged for years. In a 2019 statement, Ureña said, “President Clinton knows nothing about the terrible crimes Jeffrey Epstein pleaded guilty to in Florida some years ago, or those with which he has been recently charged in New York.”

That same statement clarified Clinton’s limited contact with Epstein, noting that Clinton flew on Epstein’s jet 4 times and visited his Harlem office once, always accompanied by Secret Service agents.

According to Ureña, Clinton has not spoken to Epstein in well over a decade and “has never been to Little St. James Island, Epstein’s ranch in New Mexico, or his residence in Florida.”

Ureña closed his latest remarks by stressing that the public deserves clarity, not misdirection. “Everyone, especially MAGA, expects answers, not scapegoats,” he wrote, as pressure continues to build for full accountability in one of the most scrutinized cases in modern political history.
