Child injured after shooting self, Sacramento police say

(FOX40.COM) — The Sacramento Police Department is investigating after a child reportedly shot himself Friday afternoon.

According to police, around 1:45 p.m., officers responded to a report of a child who shot himself on Mack Road near Franklin Boulevard.

Police estimate the child to be around 4 years old.

The police department said the child was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition.
