Chase Rice Delivers Classic Country Cool on His Eagerly Anticipated ELDORA Album – Culture Fix

Country talent Chase Rice hits another musical home run with his latest studio album ELDORA. The twelve-track set follows hot on the heels of the North Carolina star’s 2024 LP Go Down Singin’ and is preceded by the singles Two Tone Trippin’ and Circa 1943.

The star was drawn to imagery of the American West for the album, sharing: “That’s what I feel like this record is. For me, it was that absolute freedom I was looking for, that’s what took me out West. It’s been my life the last 10 years, and the biggest theme on this album is running towards freedom. I’ve found that almost always means running away from home.”

Chase feels truly at home with this style of country music, moving over his last three albums towards a more traditional sound compared to his earlier work, which spawned polished country-pop hits such as Ready Set Roll and Gonna Wanna Tonight. We are here for both styles from Chase, who consistently brings his authentic vocals and powerful songwriting to any style of music.

The stripped-down production style was influenced by the natural surroundings of the studio, housed in a Colorado cabin and inspired by a hidden mountainside town, working alongside co-writer and producer Oscar Charles. Chase shares that he drew added inspiration from travelling down a musical road less travelled, noting: “I don’t know many people that have ever gone down the road I’m going down and when you’re this mainstream artist who makes a big shift, it takes a lot to get people to believe. But I think it’s extremely believable … because it’s extremely real.”

The star admits that moving away from commercial sounds is a risk worth taking: “I know I’m taking big risks … but I’m not in this for fame and money. I want to be proud of my music at the end of my life. And if that costs me the other two, I’m okay with that.” This risk-taking is evident on the nostalgic sounds of Good Side of Gettin’ Older, the dark, moody Country & Western (feat. Madeline Edwards), and the rootsy, up-tempo Two Tone Trippin’.
