Chances to meet WWE stars in NE Ohio this weekend

CLEVELAND (WJW) – Cleveland is gearing up a for a weekend full of bodyslams as the WWE’s biggest summer event takes over.

The Cleveland Browns stadium has been transformed into the perfect scene for Saturday night’s SummerSlam event. It has been dubbed the biggest party of the year and is considered to be the WWE’s second biggest event behind WrestleMania.

Summerslam is 6:30 p.m. Saturday but there’s so much happening before then.

Friday Night Smackdown is being held at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse, which you can watch on FOX 8. CLICK HERE for ticket details.

Saturday morning there is a Superstar brunch where you can meet some of the wrestlers. More details can be found, here.

On Thursday, wrestling fans stood in the heat for hours outside the Walmart in Strongsville to meet Bianca Belair. She has the longest reign ever as women’s champion of Monday Night Raw.

“I’m very excited to be in Cleveland for SummerSlam,” Belair said. “SummerSlam is one of my favorites, so super excited to be here.”

There will be another meet and greet on Friday with the wrestler “Street Profits” from 10 a.m. until noon in North Olmsted. CLICK HERE for those details.

A lot of Northeast Ohio will be represented this weekend. Summerslam will be hosted by WWE Superstar, The Miz, who grew up in Parma. Also appearing will be Logan Paul, who grew up in Westlake, and Lakewood native Johnny Gargano.
