SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, Pa. (WPVI) — A 28-year-old Schuylkill Haven woman is facing theft and related charges after investigators say she posed as an employee of the Eagles Autism Foundation and took more than $2,000 from at least five people by offering discounted game tickets that were never delivered.
“It makes me really angry, honestly, especially because of the work we do with them, the fundraising that we do. We rely on people in our community to trust us,” said Britt Bernard, who said she is concerned someone not affiliated with the foundation broke that trust.
Investigators identified the suspect as Kaityn Faust. Authorities say Faust offered fans discounted tickets she claimed would support the Eagles Autism Foundation but never provided them.
“Eagles tickets are expensive as it is, and for somebody to put money out of their pocket to 1, think they’re going to an Eagles game and 2, think that they’re supporting a cause that they may have an interest in, it’s really sad,” Bernard said.
Bernard said her 6-year-old son, Billy, has been involved with the foundation since the summer of 2024.
“It is just, it’s really outrageous that someone would think to do this,” she said.
Court documents show several police departments in Montgomery County began receiving reports of the alleged scam in September. According to the district attorney’s office, victims were connected to Faust through social media or a mutual friend.
In one case described in court documents, a Worcester Township woman sent $750 to purchase tickets to the Eagles and Cowboys game using Apple Pay. After payment, she received emails from a woman claiming to also work at the foundation and saying the tickets would be released through a portal. Investigators said they later tracked that email address back to Faust.
Authorities said a similar pattern continued with other victims in Upper Merion, Lower Providence, and Bridgeport.
“It could put a bad taste in the community’s mouth and maybe now they don’t want to involve themselves with fundraising with us,” Bernard said.
According to the affidavit, Faust told investigators she was the victim of a scam herself. Detectives said they found no evidence of that.
Her then-boyfriend also told detectives that Faust told him she worked with the foundation with Kylie Kelce and Jeffrey Lurie. He says that he believed her and connected her to friends looking for tickets.
“I just hope that the victims know that it has nothing to do with EAF and that they continue to support everything that’s going on within the Eagles Autism Foundation,” Bernard said.
After the alleged scam was reported, the Eagles Autism Foundation released a statement saying someone was posing as an employee. The foundation also reminded fans that charity tickets can only be purchased through its auction platform.
Attempts to reach Faust and her lawyer were not successful.

People who post “all lives splatter” are apparently not welcome at Fergie’s Pub.

Late in January, in response to the killings of Renée Good and Alex Pretti at the hands of ICE agents in Minneapolis, protesters called for a general strike scheduled for January 30th. Business owners around the country were confronted with questions from their workers about whether they would participate, as was the case at Fergie’s Pub, the popular Irish bar in Philadelphia.
Owner Fergus “Fergie” Carey considered the matter and decided to open that day, posting the following on social media:
We remain open today. However, we are in support of the strike and want to make it clear that we believe that America is a diverse, beautiful patchwork and we are stronger together. Between Fergie’s and The Jim, we have donated thousands of dollars over various events to @vamos_juntos_ and will continue to support them – they are an excellent community resource and are doing amazing work. Please check out their page and support their efforts as well, if you like. #iceout
Facebook being Facebook and 2026 being 2026, comments (many of which no longer appear) were swift to follow, some standing in solidarity with Fergie’s and the ICE protesters and some not so much. Falling decidedly into the latter category was longtime Philadelphia columnist Thom Nickels, who these days writes for the conservative Philadelphia outlet Broad & Liberty.
“I just very quickly tapped into my photo gallery and posted some conservative memes,” Nickels tells Philly Mag. “As I was doing it, I noticed that they kept disappearing. I thought, oh well, they don’t like them.”
They sure didn’t. The social media manager alerted Carey to the Nickels comments, wondering who Nickels was. It turned out that Carey and Nickels met, as far as Carey remembers it, long ago when Nickels wrote for The Philadelphia Irish Edition and interviewed Carey for a story. He patronized the bar occasionally over the years, and was a regular for a bit.
The name rung a bell to Carey, so he looked in his cell phone and, sure enough, “Thom Nickels – Philadelphia Irish Edition” was in there. Carey dialed the number but Nickels didn’t pick up. It went to voicemail, so Carey left him a message, which Nickels later deleted. Both men agree that the point of the message was: You’re not welcome at Fergie’s Pub anymore.
“I couldn’t believe it,” says Nickels. “I always liked Fergie. But we’re so polarized as a society. People want to turn everything into a federal case, as if I committed a horrible sacrilege.”
Nickels wrote about the conflict with Fergie’s – not naming the bar – at the bottom of a Broad & Liberty column he wrote on February 8th about the local conservative influencer Frank Scales:
Last week I came across a Facebook post from a certain bar in the city, condemning ICE and calling for its abolition. I posted my opposition with a few colorful memes from my photo gallery, all in support of ICE. This is something a zillion people do on a daily basis when it comes to debates about ICE. Now, I’ve always liked this bar. I’ve read a few poems there at sponsored gatherings, and I’ve interviewed the owner for a number of publications over the years. He has always been a fine gentleman.
A day after my post I received a phone voicemail message from the bar telling me the staff no longer wishes to serve me, and that I should not have posted such “hate.”
Hate? I love the hamburgers there, yet I confess the pub’s interior has always made me think of Mary Queen of Scots imprisoned in the Tower of London.
But “hate” in this day and age course is anything they – the left – doesn’t agree with. As Hitler said, “I want fanatics.”
Earlier this week, Carey alerted me to the Nickels column and identified the bar in question as his own.
“I don’t want him in my fucking bar,” Carey insists. “Things are too serious now for that kind of stuff. Unfollow, unfriend, fuck off.”
I asked Nickels about the “All Lives Splatter” meme, clearly a takeoff on Black Lives Matter and the post that Carey told me had him the most riled up.
“I think that’s taken out of context,” Nickels says of the reaction to the post. “All lives splatter when you put yourself in the face of ICE… The two people who were tragically killed, which was a, you know, horrible thing, um, they still interfered with ICE… It seems to me that if you interfere with ICE, if you go into the road and try to get in their face, you’re asking for the worst.”
Nickels also wondered if Fergie’s was going to start interrogating customers when they show ID: Do you support ICE? Do you support Trump? But Carey insists that all sorts of people come into Fergie’s and that he doesn’t disrespect customers because they believe differently that he does. Posting offensive memes about dead people on his social media page, though, is different, he argues.
“If Donald Trump posted that image of the Obamas as apes on my Facebook page, I would call him and tell him to fuck off too,” Carey says. “I’m sick of all this.”

The Simpsons come to Philly for their 800th episode. (Click image above for the full map!) / Illustration by Eric Keyes. The Simpsons™ and © 2025 20th Television
This Sunday, Marge and Homer Simpson — America’s most enduring (and most chinless) animated stars — will visit Philadelphia for the first time in The Simpsons’ 36-year run, showering love on our city for the show’s milestone 800th episode.
For this you can thank Simpsons co-executive producer Christine Nangle, the Penn grad and Oxford Circle native who conceived of and wrote the installment. She’s been with the show — the longest-running scripted prime-time series ever — since 2019, prior to which she was, among other things, a writer for Saturday Night Live. These days, Nangle makes her home in Los Angeles, but “I’m 100 percent still a Philadelphian,” she says. “I wear it with pride on my sleeve.”

That’s abundantly apparent in her Simpsons plot, which — mild spoiler alert — begins when Marge and Homer journey to the city so their dog, Santa’s Little Helper, can participate in a (fictional) Philadelphia dog show. Once here, some local conspiracy theorists known as the H.O.A.G.I.E. Men (Historians of America’s Great Inventors and Enlightened Men) convince them that the dog is actually a direct descendant of Ben Franklin’s mutt, and that he holds secret abilities to find gold supposedly stashed by Franklin. (A penny saved?!) The two find themselves on a National Treasure–style adventure in search of that fortune, running into a host of icons along the way.
Not surprisingly, the Philadelphia gags come fast and furious — so here, ahead of the February 15th air date on Fox, Nangle offers up a preview of the people, places, and oh-so-Philly plot points you’re going to want to watch for.

Fictitious … and “the best dog park in the world,” says Nangle.
The Abbott Elementary creator/star voices a trainer charged with getting Santa’s Little Helper in shape. Alas, she meets an untimely end, falling down a hole — d’oh! — but does manage a resounding “Go Birds!” on the way down.

The dog show takes place at the Convention Hall, which is adjacent to the Oates Parking Lot. (Poor John, always the smaller spotlight.)
Cheesesteaks get a cameo, obviously, with appearances by Pat’s, Geno’s, and Dalessandro’s — the last of which Nangle says was a rec from Questlove while she was writing the episode.

For Bacon’s first Simpsons role, he plays a clerk at the fictional Hotel Philadelphia. (“He nails the Philly accent,” Nangle says.) Marge opts for the Fresh Prince Suite over the Silver Linings Playbook Suite.
The conspiracy theorists row Homer down the Schuylkill while he slurps a water ice. (Cherry, obviously.)
One of the conspiracy theorists tries to sell Homer on the Ben Franklin theory while Homer is in — where else? — a Wawa bathroom.

The family joins a Segway tour near the Philadelphia Art Museum, with a tour guide voiced by Questlove. (They eventually happen upon the Mummers Parade.)
But not only Rocky … this version of Philly also features a statue honoring the hanging side of beef from the meat locker. There’s one for Apollo Creed. And Mr. T. And more.
Santa’s Little Helper relieves himself on an antique fire hydrant, releasing an enzyme that unlocks a clue to the gold that leads the Simpsons to Betsy’s house and a secret chamber holding the key from Ben Franklin’s lightning experiment.
Published as “Where’s Homer?” in the February 2026 issue of Philadelphia magazine.

With the announcement that the Eagles would need to be in search of a new Offensive Line Coach. Panic began to set in. Not only would a new offensive coordinator be taking over for the 5th consecutive year. But a vacancy was suddenly open that hasn’t been available since 2013.
The Eagles had kept the doors to Stoutland University open for 13 seasons. With players including Jason Peters, Jason Kelce, Brandon Brooks having come and gone through the Eagles doors. While the legacy will live on as long as Jordan Mailata, Landon Dickerson and Lane Johnson continue to play for the city of Philadelphia.
Kuper’s 2025
Chris Kuper spent the last 4 years as the Minnesota Vikings offensive line coach. With Mannion having spent time in 2023 with the Vikings, another familiar face to his new staff makes sense.
Could a resume stack up against Jeff Stoutland’s tenure? Unlikely. But the Vikings were building towards something that ultimately didn’t work out in 2025.
When it was all said and done. The Vikings tied 2nd for most sacks given up with a total of 60. Tied with the Chargers and Jets. Only the Raiders gave up more with a total of 64.
Minnesota also saw three different Quarterbacks across the 17 game season. With starts from J.J. McCarthy to Max Brosmer and Carson Wentz. Injured QBs were the least of the Vikings concern.
Injuries, Injuries, Injuries
Last offseason, the Vikings signed Ryan Kelly and Will Fries to play Center & Right Guard. Slotting in with Christian Darrisaw and Brian O’Niell returning from previous seasons. The Vikings also added Donovan Jackson with the 24th overall pick in the 2025 draft.
Things started slow for the Vikings as Darrisaw didn’t play until Week 3 and only started 10 games.
Ryan Kelly only saw action in 8 games throughout the season, being placed in concussion protocol weeks 2, 4 and 16.
While both Jackson & O’Neill finished the season with 14 games. The Vikings OL was constantly rotating out players and rarely saw consistent starting lineups.
With tattered and bruised players, even the Eagles offensive line struggled only missing Lane Johnson for 7 games and Landon Dickerson for 2.
If given a healthy season, there’s opportunity for Kuper to cement himself in a new era of Eagles football. One that might find itself in need of new cornerstone pieces to the offensive line.
With the draft coming in April, are you expecting the Eagles to draft OL in the first round?

CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. (WPVI) — Water and gas have been restored to a majority of customers in Conshohocken after a massive sinkhole opened up on West 10th Avenue.
Crews responded to the area around 10 p.m. Wednesday night to find water pouring down the street. Neighbors say a short time later, a sinkhole opened up.
The damage left dozens of residents in the neighborhood without heat and water.
“I heard it’s like at least 12 feet deep,” said resident Elisabeth Most.
People in the area were shocked to see the hole grow to be nearly as wide as the street.
“Somebody could have drove into that hole. That’s a pretty big hole,” said Mike Moyer of Conshohocken.
Elisabeth Most said she heard a loud bang and ran outside. She recorded a video from her front porch showing water from the broken main shooting up into the street.
“Moments after, my neighbor across the street moved his car, the sinkhole opened up,” Most said.
The hole continued to expand, and crews spent much of Thursday inside it repairing the water main and underground gas equipment that was damaged.
“We were pretty alarmed. We were like, ‘Uhh, we smell gas!’” Most said.
“We went out and could smell the gas; we had to keep the door shut. Then, after a while, we turned the water on, no water. No gas, heat was off,” Moyer said.
At one point, 83 PECO customers were without gas service, and about 50 Aqua customers were without water.
Some families left the neighborhood to seek warmer shelter.
“We’ll stay somewhere warm. Hopefully it’s resolved by tonight,” said Erin Catalino of Conshohocken.
“I know some neighbors have already gotten a hotel or they’re staying with family,” Most added.
For those who remained, workers delivered cases of water and brought in a water truck so residents could fill buckets.
“It probably could have been way worse. Luckily, no one’s car fell in; luckily, nothing exploded. It’s scary stuff,” Most said.
As of the latest update, all but six PECO customers have had their gas service restored. Those six customers will be without gas until early Friday morning, and a spokesperson said they were provided space heaters.
A spokesperson for Aqua said the remaining four customers had their water turned back on late Thursday night.

A man was killed in a high-speed crash in Philadelphia’s Torresdale neighborhood overnight, police said.
The crash occurred shortly before 1 a.m. on Friday along the 9400 block of Frankford Avenue. Police said a driver – believed to be in his early 30s – was driving a Kia SUV at a high speed when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a parked car.
The man was found in the backseat of the SUV despite being the driver, indicating significant force from the crash, police said. The engine of the vehicle was also ejected from the SUV and landed on the street.
Police have not revealed the man’s identity. They also have not reported any other injuries.
Workers with Philadelphia Gas Works (PGW) also responded to the scene due to a reported gas smell.
Frankford Avenue was closed for hours at the scene of the crash but later reopened around 6 a.m.
Chris Ovington — a friend of a person who lives in the area — told NBC10 she went to the crash scene after reading about it on the Citizens App. She also said speeding is a problem in the neighborhood.
“They’re taking cars and they’re doing doughnuts. Doing doughnuts,” Ovington said. “They’re blocking streets to keep the people from going past. So that tells you the disregard for public safety they’re doing now. So, something has got to happen.”
This story is developing. Check back for updates.

It’s clearly the case that Eagles fans will have a few regrets from the 2025-26 NFL season.
There were some high points, including an absolutely dominant 31-0 performance over the Raiders, and two tight road wins over Philadelphia’s ‘perceived’ Super Bowl rivals, the Chiefs and Bills, but there were enough low points, including a really disappointing loss to the Giants and a three-game winless streak across the early winter that really underlined the fact that the magic of last season would be difficult to repeat.
The upshot is that Eagles fans will be watching on a little enviously as the Seahawks and Patriots clash at Levi’s Stadium on February 8. The odds for Super Bowl LX are live, but did you know that some sportsbooks have already released the market for Super Bowl LXI.
It’s a common enough occurrence to see both markets running simultaneously, as it allows fans to get ahead of the game by diving into the futures markets for an event over a year away.
Nevertheless, the markets make interesting reading for the Eagles. Where does the average fan think the team should be? Outright favorites?
Not as things stand, but the good news is that the sportsbooks retain ‘respect’ for the Eagles, putting them firmly in the top tier of contenders.
*Odds obviously subject to change
Now, a few things are apparent from this list. The first is that it feels like a little bit of a place-holding list. Moves across the offseason will transform the market, and you should also get a little movement after Super Bowl LX. A comfortable win for the Seahawks, for instance, will firm up Seattle’s odds. The Patriots will move should the Super Bowl go New England’s way.
There is natural hesitancy from sportsbooks at this point, so in most years, the Playoff teams tend to go back to the top of the markets, with the Super Bowl teams often pegged as the two favorites. But this was not an ordinary season, as numerous well-fancied teams fell by the wayside.
Look at the odds for teams like the Ravens, Chiefs, and Lions, all of whom missed the Playoffs.
As for the Eagles, we will have to wait and see. There are big decisions to be made across the roster, not least what to do with AJ Brown. There was definitely a sense of “it’s not broken, why try to fix it” going into the 2025 season. Changes were made, sure, but this offseason might see more pronounced decisions, and that will filter through to the betting odds.
Indeed, it will be intriguing to see where the Eagles will be placed next September. The core of the team is good enough to ensure that the ‘respect’ we talked about will stay, but other teams will surely make big moves too.
It’s going to be interesting because you get the sense that whatever the Eagles’ front office decides in the coming months could decide the direction of travel for a few seasons.
