Bringing Xbox to Handheld Gaming
Xbox ROG Ally details
One of our core goals with the Xbox Ally was to deliver a distinctly Xbox experience in the palm of your hands. With the Xbox Ally X and Xbox Ally, you can look forward to an approachable gaming experience that travels with you wherever you go, featuring several new and first-of-their-kind features on both devices.
Here’s what you can look forward to on your Xbox Ally handheld:
Launch directly into the Xbox full screen experience, a dedicated experience purpose-built for gaming, powered by Windows 11, and inspired by the console user experience. With new modifications that minimize background activity and defer non-essential tasks, more system resources are dedicated specifically to gameplay.
A dedicated Xbox button opens an enhanced Game Bar overlay for Windows 11, making it easy to return home, browse your library, launch or quit games, chat with friends, access ROG’s innovative Armoury Crate SE, and more.
An aggregated gaming library gives you quick access to games from Xbox, Game Pass (where available), and installed games from Battle.net and other leading PC stores.
Xbox controller-inspired grips, with ergonomics that allow you to play comfortably for longer gaming sessions.
Every Xbox Ally comes with three months of Xbox Game Pass, unlocking hundreds of games playable across devices. More information about the Game Pass offer will be shared prior to October 16. Terms and conditions apply.
Whether you love playing on PC, console, or streaming your games on the go, the Xbox Ally opens up new ways to access your Xbox library, through:
Native play, which allows you to play PC games from any store that are installed and run directly on the device. And with Xbox Play Anywhere, you can play more than 1,000 supported titles from Xbox across console, PC, and handhelds with a single purchase. Today, Xbox Play Anywhere titles are where the majority of console players spend their time on Xbox, and you can now experience those same games on the go with the Xbox Ally handhelds.
Remote play, which allows you to stream your full console library from your Xbox console anywhere in your home – all via a smooth and intuitive user experience built for handheld.
Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta), which takes portability even further by allowing you to stream your Xbox library of console games to your handheld on the go. Whether you’re traveling, commuting, or just stepping out, you can pick up where you left off (where available).
Our Handheld Compatibility Program, a new Xbox initiative that indicates which games play great on handheld. At launch, thousands of titles will be Handheld Optimized or Mostly Compatible, making it easier to find games that are ready to play on your Xbox Ally.
Check out more details on additional features you can expect to experience on the Xbox Ally X and Xbox Ally at launch and beyond, including upcoming AI-powered innovations.

Doug Bowser is stepping down as President of Nintendo of America after five years in charge of the North American business unit. The 10-year veteran of the Mario maker departs shortly after the arrival of the Switch 2 with his retirement taking effect December 31. He’ll be replaced by long-time Nintendo executive Devon Pritchard, who will have the distinction of being the first female president in Nintendo of America’s history.
“One of my earliest video game experiences was playing the arcade version of Donkey Kong,” Bowser said in a press release. “Since that time, all things Nintendo have continued to be a passion for both me and my family. Leading Nintendo of America has been the honor of a lifetime, and I am proud of what our team has accomplished in both business results and the experiences we’ve created for consumers. Now, it’s time for the next generation of leadership and Devon’s track record speaks for itself. She is an exceptional leader, and her promotion is a testament to her strong performance and strategic contributions to the company’s growth. I have full confidence that she will guide the company to even greater heights.”
Satoru Shibata, who at various times in the past was head of Nintendo Australia and Nintendo Europe, will be joining Nintendo of America as chief executive officer, while maintaining his role as managing executive officer at Nintendo Co. in Japan. Pritchard will be elevated to the Nintendo of America Board of Directors and join the executive officer group in Japan.
“With characters and worlds that offer something for everyone, my focus will be continuing to build on Nintendo’s legacy of surprising and delighting our longtime fans, while at the same time welcoming new players into the Nintendo family,” Pritchard said in a statement.
Bowser took over as President of Nintendo of America back in 2019 after Reggie Fils-Aime stepped down following 15 years in the position. Bowser took on a less visible role than his predecessor, but has still appeared in the occasional Nintendo Direct and at big launches, including the recent opening of a new Nintendo store in San Francisco. Bowser’s departure comes shortly after IGN reported a change to the customer service department at Nintendo of America, including more outsourcing to cut costs.
“During his tenure, Doug made numerous contributions to bring smiles to the faces of people connected to Nintendo,” Nintendo head Shuntaro Furukawa said in a statement. “I would like to express my gratitude for his strong efforts.”
When bringing Guidus Zero to Xbox, we didn’t want to simply port the PC version. Our goal was to craft an experience that feels perfectly at home on an Xbox controller.
In the early builds, movement and attack were bound together in a simple structure. But as combat speed increased, this caused hand fatigue during extended play. To solve this, we separated movement and attack into distinct inputs—a small change that smoothed the battle rhythm and became the foundation of an immediate, responsive control system designed for Xbox.
Our vision was clear: every dodge and every strike had to feel just as sharp and instantaneous as on PC. Xbox players can look forward to fluid movement, precise button mapping, and a combat rhythm tuned specifically for the controller.
Balancing Keyboard and Controller
One of our biggest challenges was ensuring that no matter which input method you use, the experience feels equally satisfying. For months, we fine-tuned responsiveness, button mapping, and input sensitivity to achieve balance.
We knew they could never feel exactly the same—but balance, not uniformity, was the goal. Each input method should feel different yet equally fun, with its own rhythm. On Xbox, this philosophy came together in a combat system that rewards both precision and intuition.
Controls Shaped by Player Feedback
Community feedback played a huge role in shaping the Xbox version. By listening closely, we introduced several key improvements:
* Super Cancel for seamless flow: You can now cancel into movement from any attack. This makes every action flow together, opening up dynamic plays that let you strike and reposition fluidly.
* Piercing dodge for strategic escapes: Based on feedback that dodges felt too restrictive, dodging now covers two tiles and ignores enemy collision, giving you a powerful survival tool when surrounded.
* Dedicated button for thrust attacks: The critical Thrust move no longer requires complex inputs. It now has its own button, allowing you to unleash it instantly when the moment is right.
With this feedback implemented, Xbox playtesters responded that out of dozens of roguelikes they’ve played, the build and combat variety in Guidus Zero keeps pulling them back. Every movement feels meaningful, and the grid-based combat feels natural on a controller.
Action That Rewards Mastery: [Learn from Your Runs]
The real achievement in Guidus Zero isn’t just stat growth or Artifact buffs—it’s the combat instinct and judgment you sharpen through every fight.
Just like learning a fighting game, every victory and defeat builds muscle memory and intuition. Over time, your hands will respond faster, your dodges will grow tighter, and your combos and cancels will flow more naturally. You’ll read enemies more easily and find that single tile of safety you once missed.
Eventually, you’ll find yourself making bolder, faster, and sharper decisions in the same situations that once held you back. With community-driven updates and full Xbox optimization—there’s no better time to descend into the Scar.
Guidus Zerolaunches today. Sharpen your instincts and uncover the truth that lies hidden in the abyss.

Borderlands 4 developer Gearbox has released the biggest update to the looter shooter since launch, adding a Field of View (FOV) slider on console, various performance improvements, and various Vault Hunter and gear buffs.
The September 25, 2025 update adds new Weekly Activities, stability and performance improvements, adjustments to some rewards/progression, and further refinements across UI, audio, visuals, and gear. Check out the patch notes, from the Borderlands website, below.
Creative director Graeme Timmins had flagged that Gearbox was more interested in buffing than nerfing Borderlands 4 in the short term, leaving broken builds alone for the time being. And today’s update reinforces that approach, with no nerfs to speak of. Indeed, Timmins took to social media to say Gearbox had too many buffs to fit into today’s update, so it broke them up into their own balance update that’s due out early next week.
The update also includes fixes for the high-profile memory leak issue for Borderlands 4 on console, which causes the framerate to degrade the longer you play. But there’s more to come. “We believe we’ve made significant improvements there, but we’re still investigating data to make sure any remaining issues continue to be resolved,” Timmins explained. “We’re confident that today’s update makes a big difference though, and we’re excited to get feedback/data on it.”
Performance improvements on PC are also welcome. Borderlands 4 is still on a mixed Steam review rating, with most of the negative comments revolving around PC performance. The tech experts at Digital Foundry have said their initial analysis of Borderlands 4 on PC shows significant stutter problems, and have advised against running the game on its ‘Badass’ graphics setting, which suggests there are indeed problems with the Unreal Engine 5 title.

Vroom. Vroom vroom. Vroom vroom vroom. Ahem, sorry, dunno what happened to me there. Assetto Corsa EVO, the three-letter-yelling follow up to one on Steam’s long-reigning top racing sims, has just gotten its third early access update. It adds in online multiplayer, plus a bunch of fresh cars and tracks to hop into moments before you’re unceremoniously punted off by a random.
I’ve been playing a bit of a waiting game with AC EVO since yapping about it at length for my old home when it first debuted in early access at the start of this year, but this might be the point I hop behind its wheel agaion and see how devs Kunos Simulazioni have managed to flesh it out so far. After all, they’ve now added in a 90s Merc 190E, which is pretty much square German saloon kryptonite for my will to hold off on checking things out.
Over the last couple of years, developer Insomniac Games has earned critical acclaim for its work on Marvel’s Spider-Man series. Following two main Spider-Man games and the Miles Morales game, the studio’s next project is one that has Marvel fans excited as a legendary mutant is stepping back into the spotlight.
The last time that Wolverine had a solo game was all the way back in 2009 with X-Men Origins: Wolverine. A tie-in game to the film of the same name, Raven Software’s single-player adventure was a gruesome and action-packed spectacle of blood, guts, and adamantium claws. More than a decade later, Insomniac’s take on the X-Man is looking like a spiritual successor, and while the game is still deep in development, a few new details about Marvel’s Wolverine have been revealed recently.
When will Marvel’s Wolverine be released?
As revealed during the September 2025 State of Play, Marvel’s Wolverine will be popping its claws in Fall 2026.
Insomniac is something of a miracle worker when it comes to video game releases, as since 2018, the studio has shipped Marvel’s Spider-Man, expansive DLC for the game, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, with Spider-Man 2 launching in October 2023. Insomniac has a reputation for surprisingly short development cycles in the current era of multi-year game projects, and it has been suggested that Marvel’s Wolverine could launch in Fall 2024. That didn’t happen, of course, and most recently, Insomniac refused to comment when asked if Wolverine is coming in 2025.
Marvel’s Wolverine platforms
Unsurprisingly, Marvel’s Wolverine will be headed to PlayStation 5 as a console exclusive, given Insomniac’s position as a PlayStation first-party studio since its acquisition by Sony in 2019. It’s highly likely that the game will eventually come to PC, as several other Insomniac-developed titles have also wound up on that platform following their PS5 release.
Marvel’s Wolverine gameplay
Wolverine isn’t the kind of hero who wins a fight with quips and hugs, and naturally, Insomniac wants to create an experience that feels fast and ferocious. The studio says its aiming to create “the ultimate Wolverine fantasy” and enhance that vicious combat with action-packed set pieces and a gripping story. The first gameplay trailer hinted at this savage side of Wolverine, as the X-Man was using his adamantium claws to impale enemies, rip them apart, and brutally dismember them.
As for the tone of the game, Insomniac is aiming to deliver a mature experience, which is fitting considering Wolverine’s nature as a walking weapon. Insomniac’s recent games have also been showcases of slick action, so there’s a good chance that the studio will deliver some cutting-edge gameplay with Wolverine that’s balanced by the developer’s ability to dig deep into the emotional core of its characters.
Marvel’s Wolverine story
Insomniac isn’t sharing too many details on what the storyline for Marvel’s Wolverine will be, but the studio did tease that it will be original take on the character to uncover the secrets of a dark past that has eluded him.
Marvel’s Wolverine actor
To bring Logan to life, Insomniac recruited Australian actor Liam McIntyre to voice the character and provide motion capture for him. McIntyre has a long list of acting credits, and he’s best known for playing the lead role of Spartacus in the TV series Spartacus: Vengeance. He also has extensive voice-acting experience, having voiced characters like Captain Boomerang and Aquaman in several DC animated films.
“Fans out there know what Wolverine is, who he is,” McIntyre said in a dev diary video. “My job is to try to find the essence of who Wolverine is–especially as to how it applies to our story. People hurt him, people take from him, people betray him, [but] he still fights for people who can’t fight for themselves.”
Marvel’s Wolverine cameos
It wouldn’t be a Marvel game without a few familiar faces, and Marvel’s Wolverine has at least two recognizable ones: The treacherous shape-shifting mutant Mystique and one of Logan’s deadliest enemies, Omega Red. Logan will also be going up against the Reavers, an army of criminal cyborgs who have menaced him and the X-Men for decades in the comics, and the trailer hinted at a fight with a Kaiju-sized Sentinel, the infamous mutant-hunting robots.

One of the best parts about the LEGO Harry Potter 2025 Advent Calendar is, unlike those paper versions that contain chocolate or other sweet treats, this one can be used year after year. Just disassemble the figures, place them back in their individual doors, and put the calendar away until next year. Opening the doors, building the figures, and playing with them will be just as fun next time around.
Where Winds Meet is an ambitious free to play open-world ARPG that seeks not just to emulate but to embody the very soul of Wuxia.
Wuxia is a captivating genre typically found in fiction and cinema, featuring warriors from ancient China performing superhuman martial arts feats, think Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon or House of Flying Daggers. The world of Wuxia is often mistakenly conflated with Kung Fu. But where traditional Kung Fu emphasizes the realistic, disciplined mastery of martial arts, Wuxia is a seamless blend of martial prowess, eastern philosophical depth, and aesthetic elegance. In this world, warriors glide across rooftops, inner energy defies gravity, and even everyday objects can become instruments of profound beauty and deadly precision.
Central to this mission is its combat system, where weaponry is far more than a tool for violence – it is a demonstration of character, philosophy, and art. Weapons in Where Winds Meet are deeply integrated into the core gameplay of its Wuxia open world. Players can equip two weapons simultaneously and easily switch between them during combat. Weapons are a crucial component that determines the player’s fighting style; players can learn different weapons based on their interests and flexibly replace or match them. The combination of weapons with various Martial Arts and Internal Arts forms the core element of character build in the game.
Where Winds Meet features a wide arsenal of weapons: Spear, Sword, Dual Blades, Rope Dart, the enigmatic Mo blade, and more, each meticulously crafted with distinct weight, speed, and feel. Yet among these, one stands out as an embodiment of Wuxia’s spirit – a weapon that should be impractical, yet in this world becomes poetry in lethal motion – the umbrella.
The Umbrella: where poetry meets combat
In reality, an umbrella is merely a shelter in the rain, but in the Wuxia world of Where Winds Meet, it becomes a vessel for romance and lethality. It’s soft yet sharp, defensive yet aggressive. It’s light as a feather but can strike like a storm. When it opens, it can shield you. When it closes, it becomes a blade. We drew inspiration from classics – like the umbrella vs. pole blade fight in Zhang Yimou’s movie, “Shadow”- but we also wanted to add our own flavor.
A key priority for us was ensuring that even the most fantastical movements feel believable and impactful. To achieve this, we partnered with Action Director Wei Tung, a multi-award winner (Hong Kong Film Awards, Golden Horse Awards) whose legendary filmography includes Bruce Lee’s Fist of Fury, Kung Fu Killer, As Tears Go By, and Swordsman II.
Behind the scenes motion capture
Rather than relying solely on digital animation, Mr. Tung insisted on real martial artists performing every move. All actions, including solo techniques, were captured with at least two stunt actors interacting – this preserved the sense of impact, reaction, and spatial awareness.
We employed full-body simultaneous motion capture, requiring performers to execute every movement with perfect coordination. The result is a combat system that feels visceral, intentional, and cinematically expressive, whether you’re wielding a sword, a spear, or an umbrella.
Ranged Assault – delicate form, overwhelming force
The Floating State – a dance above the battlefield
Heavy Blow- returning strike with weight and impact
Solo Combat – a portable stronghold
Partnered Combat – the umbrella as a fighting companion
A living world: the seasonal journey ahead
We believe that a Wuxia world should continually grow and unfold. That’s why Where Winds Meet will be structured around a seasonal update model, with each season lasting approximately three months and introducing new map areas, gameplay and narrative to explore.
Our launching season will include two expansive regions – Qinghe and Kaifeng– each with its own story arc, allowing players to delve deeper into the game’s storyline and unravel their character’s past.
The seasonal updates will differ in focus. Some may advance the main plot through new regions and characters, others may introduce new gameplay and time-limited in-game activities, or enhance social features and character progression. Most importantly, we will continuously optimize and adjust the gaming experience based on feedback from the player community. It’s our way of building this world with our players, not just for them.
A shared wuxia dream for all
For us, Where Winds Meet is more than a game – it’s an invitation to experience Wuxia as we’ve always imagined it. We aim to take the romanticism, the philosophy, and the grounded-ness of Wuxia and weave them into a living, breathing, and endlessly evolving world. We can’t wait for you to enter this world with us!
Where Winds Meet will be free to play and will launch globally on November 14, 2025. The game is now available to wishlist on PlayStation Store. An exclusive pre-order bundle for PS5 is also available, including an outfit pack, a PS5-exclusive namecard background and more:
Now that we’ve been acquainted with pretty much everything in multiplayer in the upcoming Black Ops 7, it’s naturally time for Zombies, the co-op, undead-clearing mode that’s been a staple of the series for years.
Treyarch has now revealed a whole lot of information about the map, challenges, Wonder Weapons, GobbleGums, the new Wonder Vehicle and more.
Much like the multiplayer blog post from earlier in the week, the Zombies blog is also very extensive, offering a deep dive into almost the entirety of the mode’s different facets. Even more Zombies gameplay will be shown off at Call of Duty: Next next week, so there’s that to look forward to there as well.
Ashes of the Damned is the big new map for Zombies, and it’s the one that will be available at the game’s launch in November. It’s made up of several areas, each of which you can unlock and explore.
It’s large enough that you’ll need a vehicle to traverse between the main locations, which is where the pickup truck comes in. You’ll have to get it working first, of course, because nothing in Zombies works when you first find it. The vehicle can be upgraded throughout the journey, and the blog post talks about “some ways” to repair it when it gets damaged.
One of the more interesting new additions is the Necrofluid Gauntlet Wonder Weapon, which we see a glimpse of in the gameplay trailer above. Normal and armored enemies return, but Black Ops 7 is also throwing a couple of new misshapen beasts into the mix – including a mutated bear.
Even going beyond the new additions, Treyarch is making several key changes to Zombies. For one, the number of super sprinter zombies will be lower, and they won’t spawn as often. Armored zombies will no longer be able to sprint in higher rounds, and their armor can now be more easily destroyed – though they will take less damage from explosives.
Zombies in Black Ops 7 has four modes: Standard, Directed, Survival, and Cursed. Standard is the base style, offering no guidance for main and side quests. Directed – introduced with last year’s Black Ops 6 – is more streamlined and designed for players looking to experience the core story content. Directed won’t be available at launch, so you can expect it a few weeks afterwards.
BO7 brings back Survival, which offers smaller, more focused experiences that take place in wardened off areas of the Ashes of the Damned map. Survival is designed for maximum carnage, with no quests or anything except trying to stay alive as long as you can. Finally, Cursed is designed for veteran players, hiding side quests for them to uncover, which in turn unearth cursed Relics. When activated, they spawn harder challenges for everyone to face.

The biggest news out of the blog, however, has to be the fact that Survival mode will be playable in the upcoming Black Ops 7 beta. This is the first time Zombies content has been playable in a Call of Duty beta, so it’s a big deal.
Nioh 3, the latest entry in Koei Tecmo Games’ dark samurai action RPG series from Team Ninja, is set to launch on PlayStation 5. I had the chance to go hands-on with the game at Tokyo Game Show 2025. I explored the newly revealed snowfield area and confronted the daunting yokai incarnation of Takeda Shingen. Here’s how it went.
Journey through open fields and engage in thrilling battles
One of Nioh 3’s defining new features is its open field, which I was able to experience firsthand during one of the demo’s main missions.
The size was smaller in scale due to it being a demo, but the snowfield area was still packed with discovery. I began by unlocking a shrine to serve as my central hub, and from there, I uncovered treasure chests containing equipment, dark walls that unlocked new Guardian Spirit abilities when destroyed, lost Kodama spirits, and enemy outposts that remain sealed until the Dark Realm is cleared. The new jump action further opened up the battlefield, allowing me to scale rocky cliffs and leap across floating stone islands. This addition of vertical exploration greatly broadens an area’s possibilities.
Master the arts of two new fighting styles: Samurai and Ninja
Another highlight of Nioh 3 is the ability to master two different fighting styles: Samurai and Ninja. A simple press of the R2 button swaps between the two, altering stats, weapons, skill sets, and even visuals — effectively giving your character two distinct builds in combat.
The Samurai style closely mirrors the classic Nioh experience. It lets you wield weapons such as katanas, dual swords, odachi, and spears to deliver devastating blows. Pressing R1 with precision after an attack triggers the Ki Pulse, which restores a portion of your spent stamina (Ki) and dispels the Dark Realm created by yokai that otherwise disrupts Ki recovery.
A new mechanic called Arts Proficiency introduces a gauge that fills up as you attack and guard. Once maxed out, you can unleash a powerful strike or martial skill to boost its strength. Attacks enhanced by Arts Proficiency don’t consume Ki, making them particularly useful for managing stamina.
The Samurai’s defensive prowess stands out with its guard mechanic. By guarding right before an enemy’s attack lands, you trigger a Deflect that not only restores Ki but also charges the Arts gauge and Ninjutsu gauge. The Ki recovery effect is especially powerful. Nailing the timing on a perfect guard is challenging, but the payoff is deeply rewarding and satisfying.
In contrast, the Ninja style excels with agile movement and efficient Ki consumption. Its arsenal includes tonfa, kusarigama, tekko claws, and reverse-grip dual swords, all focused on chaining rapid combos. Attacks from behind deal extra damage, empowering players to master a playstyle built on agility, flanking, and relentless chains of attacks.
Two signature mechanics set the Ninja apart: Evade and Mist. Evade is essentially a perfect dodge that restores Ki and boosts the Ninjutsu and Arts gauges. Mist summons a phantom clone when you press R1 at the right moment after an attack, drawing enemy focus to the clone and opening opportunities to strike from behind. Mist’s cunning move is a perfect showcase of ninja combat.
Ninjutsu adds another layer to the Ninja style and comes in many forms. Some ninjutsu deliver immense power, while others provide precise homing capabilities, allowing players to maintain an edge from a distance. Unlike the previous games, where ninjutsu had limited uses, skills can be activated repeatedly in Nioh 3 as long as the Ninjutsu gauge is charged.
Use Style Shift to counter deadly enemy moves
Switching between Samurai and Ninja styles with the R2 button is called Style Shift. Using Style Shift in combat unlocks a wide range of tactical options.
Style Shift can also interrupt critical enemy attacks. When an enemy glows red, it signals an incoming unblockable attack. Executing a perfectly timed Style Shift at that moment triggers a Burst Break, turning imminent danger into a powerful counterattack. This mechanic is essential for handling tough bosses, and it stands out as one of the core combat systems in Nioh 3.
Facing the great tiger yokai, Takeda Shingen
Next, I faced a high-stakes battle against Takeda Shingen, who had transformed into a colossal tiger demon. He unleashed rapid four-armed claw combos that transitioned into devastating, wide-area slam attacks.
Shingen also summoned the Dark Realm, twisting the battlefield into a chilling underworld where a field of red spider lilies quickly blossomed and withered, plunging the area into darkness. Within this realm, his assault grew even more vicious, mixing aerial feints, plunging strikes, and massive fireball projectiles.
Even with the full time limit, I failed to bring Shingen down. I was slashed, crushed, burned, and defeated more times than I could count. There were times I came close, only to falter under the immense pressure. Yet this very struggle is what makes Nioh so rewarding and fun to play.
Nioh 3 launches February 6, 2026 for PS5. Watch the latest trailer direct from State of Play below:
Monetization using this game is permitted. Welcome to your cozy onigiri (rice ball) shop on a street corner in Japan. From today, you’re running the whole show yourself. Craft the perfect onigiri with fluffy, warm rice and savory fillings, and serve your hungry customers with a smile. Your menu also features delicious side dishes, like crispy croquettes and golden fried fish. With a constant stream of orders, you’ll need to think on your feet and keep your hands moving! You’re not just the owner—you’re the chef and the cashier, too. With limited time and space, your success depends on smart decisions. Which ingredients do you stock up on? What do you cook first? Mastering inventory and perfecting your workflow is the secret to becoming the best onigiri shop in town. Baby Steps
This game was super fun overall! I started the game on the hardest difficulty (Very Hard), since I’m a veteran in sim/time management games. It takes 2 min to accept an order and another 2 min to serve an order, which was sufficient for me to put orders together. Despite these things I mentioned above and in my discussion post, the game really is fun. I was pleasantly surprised with the sufficient challenge and fairness in the hardest difficulty, which can be difficult to balance for other games. I can imagine that the game would be just as (or even more) fun for players in the remaining difficulties.
Features and System Requirements:
You have to manage inventory, decide what ingredients to stock, and also decide what to cook first—since space/time are limited.
You prepare rice balls and side dishes (like croquettes, fried fish), serve customers, manage orders, and try to optimize your shop’s workflow.
There is a “rush” of constant orders, which means timing and efficiency matter.

The early access period of EA Sports FC 26 appears to be chugging along nicely, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t any issues to address. The game’s first official patch, version 1.0.2, is now live with a host of changes.
The bulk of the changes in this update affect AI players, as well as Low Driven Shots. Interestingly, some of the tweaks address feedback made all the way back in the game’s closed beta.
Update 1.0.2’s biggest change is a nerf to Low Driven Shots, making them less accurate when shooting with extreme power. Difficult to perform Driven Ground Passes have also been made less accurate, such as those taken at 180 degrees.
There are also a number of changes to the AI, particularly when attacking and positioning. Wingers will now make attacking runs into the box more often, and Wing Backs will stop dropping too deep in their own half of the pitch when their team is in possession.
The patch fixed a bug that would sometimes cause AI players to not make runs into open spaces when they should, too, and improved their “offside awareness.” One of the more amusing bugs that the patch also fixed has to do with Manager Career players leaving the team during sims. Read on below for the full change log:
Gameplay
Tuned Low Driven Shots based on your feedback in the Closed Beta to be less accurate when shooting with an extreme amount of power.

Improved teammate offside awareness.

Improved positioning of players when playing with low defensive depth so that they’re not pushing too high up the pitch.
Center Backs are now less likely to run wide when marking central attackers.
False Backs now transition more intelligently to defense to better maintain defensive shape.
A goalkeeper dive indicator now displays where an incoming shot is coming from.
Changed the Camera Pan input based on your feedback and to avoid button conflicts.
As shared on the EASFC Tracker, we’re continuing to work on Be A Goalkeeper updates to improve the gameplay experience. We’ll share more details in the near future.
Improved cases of unexpected heavy touches when sprinting in wet weather Authentic gameplay based on your feedback.
Improved instances of Ground Passes unexpectedly falling behind the intended receiver.

Everything in the spot is a single shot without any cuts or splices; all the effects, layered shots, and jumps between different songs are achieved in-game, set to a mashup of songs that represent less than half of the game’s total tracklist. And you’ll be able to play Rhythm Doctor on December 6.

Winter Burrow, A Cozy Woodland Survival Game, Debuts Release Date Trailer
Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Xbox on PC, Xbox Play Anywhere, or play it day one with Game Pass – see developer website for other platforms
Winter Burrow’s new trailer tells the story of a young city mouse returning to the harsh winter wilderness. Narrated by a wise, unseen elder mouse through a whimsical nursery rhyme, we see the mouse face hunger, cold, and other perils. Each verse of the rhyme offers guidance, from cooking stews to knitting sweaters and braving the forest.
Along the way, new friends lend their support as the mouse learns to survive. The trailer ends with the burrow transformed into a safe haven, a refuge against the cold, and with the reveal of the release date: November 12, 2025.
Crimson Desert finally has a proper release date, as announced during PlayStation’s State of Play—and I could not be more excited to finally get my mitts on Kliff’s bag of action-hero tricks come March of next year, lemme tell you.
Crimson Desert – Release Date Reveal Trailer | PS5 Games – YouTube
I’ve played Crimson Desert twice now—once at GamesCom, and another in April of last year—and both times I’ve come away unsatisfied. Not because I didn’t like what I saw, but because I really wanted to properly cut my teeth on Kliff’s moveset, which is about as expansive as any fighting game character’s armory.
Crimson Desert is the first singleplayer effort by Pearl Abyss, creators of Black Desert online, and while it has a Game-of-Thronesy aesthetic to it, that’s just a thin veneer for the borderline Wuxia martial arts brawling going on under the surface.
We see a little of that in the trailer. Somber, gruffly voiced monologuing barely holds together for a few minutes of sword-clanging before it throws a clockwork dragon getting chased by a real dragon and a goddamn mech-suit at you.
From what I’ve played, that energy carries onto the boss fights—Kliff spends most of his time getting flung around, suplexed, swamped by hordes of undead enemies and ravens, or just being hurled into pillars. But he can give as good as he gets, which is where my real excitement lies.
I’m delighted to see that almost manic, irreverent energy is preserved in this trailer. Crimson Desert continues to look like a game constructed out of everything a 13-year-old Harvey thought was cool as hell, and I mean that as a complete and unalloyed compliment.
It’s Devil May Cry in a thinly hewn George RR Martin skinsuit, with some Breath of the Wild bow-play chucked in there for funsies, and I frankly cannot wait to see how that plays out for more than a couple hours at a time. Crimson Desert releases March 19, 2026.

Much like Nexus Anima, Petit Planet is very much taking cues from established games to help the developer enter a new genre, this time being the cozy life sim genre of games like Animal Crossing, and The Sims.
MiHoYo describes Petit Planet as a “cosmic life simulation”, but it very much has Animal Crossing vibes. The announcement press release even teases how players will get to spend their time with “unique” neighbours.
It has a clever setup, where players are tasked with nurturing and growing their own planet before they can connect it with other planets to form a galaxy. There’s a big element of creativity and sharing in this, too, which we get a hint of in the trailer.
What you’ll actually be doing on your own planet is very much in-line with what you expect. There’s fishing, mining, cooking, planting, crafting and so on. You can pick outfits for your characters to wear, design homes, arrange spaces and do other Sims-like things.
The big focus, however, is on the different connections you can make with your companions and their planets, adding an element of relationship building to the mix. In the trailer, we also get to see players leaving their own islets and venturing into unknown areas to discover new recipes and find rare creatures.
Galactic Bazaar is the game’s hub area, where everyone gets together to hang out after a long day’s work and form connections with other players.
Petit Planet is in development for PC and mobile – though specifics weren’t announced. If you’re interested, you can sign up to be among the first to play the aptly-named Closed Beta Coziness Test, which you can do on the official website.

Fully-simulated physics based walking. A lengthy trek up a mountain-sized mountain that you can explore at your own pace, or slower. Fully dynamic onesie soilage system. BRUTAL JOHN 2
A world that seems to come alive with a dynamic soundtrack built up out of 420 beats and vibes. Non-collectible hats. Much more enjoyable than I expected! The map recap in the credits was a great way to round up. I didn’t do much of the optional content because after getting the persimmon and climbing the tower I realized there were no rewards for engaging in it. It’s cool to have it for its own sake, I just didn’t know how big the game was and didn’t want to ruin my pacing.
Features and System Requirements:
The game encourages exploration and getting lost, rather than guiding you by hand.
The ambient audio and music adapt to your movements and environment, built from over 420 beats and sounds.
Missteps often lead to falls, and sometimes you’ll have to replay sections, but major checkpoints and flatter areas mitigate too much backtracking.
