(FOX40.COM) — Cal Fire has officially grouped various lightning fires in Calaveras County and Tuolumne County into one complex fire.
The TCU September Lightning Complex Fire consists of:
- 1-2 Fire near Hogback Ridge, West of San Andreas
- 2-2 Fire near Highway 4 at Dutton, West of Copperopolis
- 2-3 Fire near Copper Cove Ct at Obyrnes Ferry Rd, Copperopolis
- 2-7 Fire near Six Mile Road, Vallecito
- 2-8 Fire near Little John Road, Copperopolis
- 4-5 Fire near McCormick Meadows, South of Arnold
- 5-2 Fire near Lyons Bald Mountain Road, Sonora
- 6-2 Fire near Old Don Pedro Road, West of Jamestown
- 6-5 Fire near Red Hills, West of Jamestown
The fire has prompted Cal Fire to issue evacuation orders and warnings for certain areas.
An area stretching from Chinese Camp to La Grange Road east of Keystone and down to the New Don Pedro Reservoir is under an evacuation order due to the 6-5 Fire.
The area near the 2-7 fire from Murphys to Vallecito is also under evacuation orders. An area just north of the evacuation order zone, stretching from Rocky Hill to La Honda Park, is under an evacuation warning.

The complex fire is estimated to have burned roughly 5,548 acres so far.
