CLEVELAND (WJW) – Police are investigating after a reported shooting in downtown Cleveland Tuesday afternoon.

According to Sgt. Wilfredo Diaz, officers responded to a report of shots fired just before 3:30 p.m. near the corner of East 4th Street and Euclid Avenue.

Investigators say one person suffered a minor injury after being grazed by a bullet. The victim refused being taken to the hospital.

A preliminary investigation suggests that two men were arguing when shots were fired, Diaz said. Investigators say the bullet missed its intended target, instead hitting a bystander in the hand.

The suspect ran away on foot, but officers quickly caught him nearby, Diaz said. Officers at the scene also recovered a firearm.
