CLEVELAND (WJW) — Joe Flacco and most starters will take the field Saturday at Huntington Bank Field as the Browns wrap up the preseason against the Los Angeles Rams.
The starters are expected to play the first quarter with individual playing times varying by player.
Joe Flacco, who was named the regular season starter this week, will be under center to start the game. He’s expected to take 20-25 snaps. Dillon Gabriel will back up Flacco and play second followed by Shedeur Sanders.
Sanders is coming off an oblique strain he suffered during joint practices in Philadelphia Aug. 13. The rookie quarterback said he’s expecting to be in some pain, but knows he has to play through it.
Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
The Browns’ season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals will be Sept. 7 in Cleveland.
