Broncos hope young and hungry team will be successful

DENVER (KDVR) — On Wednesday, the Denver Broncos took the field for the first time with their initial 53-man roster.
Head coach Sean Payton did not want to get into specifics on his expectations for his team, so “Colorado Sports Night” asked Josh Dover from 104.3 The Fan to give his projection.
“I expect them to be a decent football team that’s built on a very, very young foundation,” Dover said. “It’s a youth movement. (General manager) George Payton talked about this (Tuesday), that 45% of the roster is 25 years old or younger. The (Broncos) are eating a bunch of the cap with Russell Wilson not working out. I like that movement, and it’s the first time in a long time that this organization has sent the message of, ‘Hey we’re tearing it down and starting over with a whole new foundation.’ They’ve never done that since Super Bowl 50 and it’s been long overdue.”
Watch “Colorado Sports Night” every weeknight at 11 p.m. on Colorado’s Very Channel 2.
