Low-cost carrier Breeze Airways has launched two new routes from Westchester County Airport in New York, the carrier announced Friday. Breeze began to fly from Westchester to Jacksonville, Fla., on Oct. 6, and to Savannah, Ga., on Oct. 7.
The routes initially were announced in April and were to start on June 30 to Jacksonville and on Sept. 9 to Savannah, but were delayed. Further, the start date of the carrier’s service from Westchester to Los Angeles has moved from the originally announced Sept. 7 to Nov. 2.
Breeze on Nov. 2 also will launch service to Sarasota-Bradenton, Fla., and on Nov. 4 to Nashville, according to the carrier. The additions will bring Breeze’s total number of nonstop destinations served by Westchester to seven, including its already-launched routes between the airport and each Charleston, S.C., and Norfolk, Va., according to Breeze.
[Update, Oct. 7] Previously announced Westchester service to San Francisco and Las Vegas is “on hold indefinitely,” according to a Breeze spokesperson.
