The Clark County Sheriff’s office says it’s identified the body of a woman found in the woods in remote Clark County almost two weeks ago. 34-year-old Tori Garza of Vancouver had been reported missing.
“(Deputies and detectives) didn’t initially have an identification on the female, but did identify that the death was suspicious,” Sergeant Fred Neiman with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office told KXL. “(They then) began a criminal investigation.”
Neiman also says technology is playing a large role in the investigation, including the use of a license plate reader that led to the arrest of a suspect.
66-year-old Andrew Brunette was taken into custody in Cowlitz County and faces multiple charges, including murder.
