CLEVELAND (WJW) — The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner has identified a body that was found in Lake Erie Tuesday afternoon.
The man was identified Wednesday as Jeffrey Williams, 64, of Cleveland.
Williams reportedly fell off the Edgewater fishing pier Sunday night around 7:45 p.m. Witnesses told Cleveland Fire the victim struck his head when he fell. The search was impeded due to adverse weather conditions.
Firefighters and Metroparks police were seen at the pier near Edgewater Beach Tuesday helping with recovery, as seen in the photos below.
Two brothers were also reported missing over the weekend while swimming in Lake Erie at Huntington Beach. Their bodies were found Wednesday.
