Blake Lively & Justin Baldoni Fail To Settle It Ends With Us Lawsuit

After months of continued struggle and intense media coverage, Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively failed to reach a deal to settle her sexual harassment lawsuit on Wednesday. This came after a day-long mediation in federal court. Baldoni’s attorney later confirmed that no deal was reached and believed that a trial was imminent.

The It Ends With Us co-stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni have been involved in a legal battle for nearly two years now, which also dragged in other big names like Taylor Swift, Ryan Reynolds, and Jenny Slate.

Many hoped that the two would solve the case before it went to trial. However, this did not end up happening.

Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni entered the New York courthouse on Friday morning and reportedly spent six hours in separate courtrooms. At the end of the ordeal, the pair got out of the courthouse and did not answer the swarming media waiting outside (via Variety).

Baldoni’s attorney confirmed to the press that no deal had been reached. He also acknowledged that a deal could still happen, but it still seemed unlikely. When asked if he believed a trial was imminent, the attorney said, “I do. We’re looking forward to it.”

The mediation with Magistrate Judge Sarah L. Cave was a part of the routine federal procedure. It seems that neither side expected the talks to reach anywhere.

Lively has accused Baldoni of harassing her on the sets of It Ends With Us. She also accused him of working with his publicists to orchestrate a smear campaign against her.

A trial for this case is set for May 18, 2026.

Blake Lively has included a potential witness list that comprises nearly 100 big names, like Emily Blunt, Gigi Hadid, and Hugh Jackman.

More details about the case will arrive soon.
