Here’s what drivers need to know.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. — Drivers in Fairfax County should expect delays on Interstate 95 Friday morning because of a crash involving a tractor trailer. Drivers should give themselves extra time as they head out the door.

The crash was first reported just before 6 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I-95 just after Franconia Road. Traffic investigators say a tractor trailer has overturned leading to stand-still traffic in the southbound lanes near the Mixing Bowl. Rubbernecking delays are also building in the northbound lanes.

One left lane of traffic is getting by, but delays begin before the Springfield Interchange. Northbound express lanes are open.

Details about the cause of the crash have not been released. We are still working to learn of any injuries related to the crash, and how many vehicles were involved.

All lanes were back open to traffic by 9 a.m., but residual delays remained.
