All the Songs in Beyoncé’s ‘Renaissance’ Movie — and What Didn’t Make the Cut https://t.co/kdO7kpneNM
— Variety (@Variety) November 27, 2023
When it was announced that Beyonce’s Renaissance Tour film (released to most theaters December 2nd), a supposed run-time had fans speculating on what could possibly be cut out for time.
Including outfit change interludes and the “big 3” that were only performed at a few tour stops, the shows runtime is about 2 hours and 45 minutes.
So to give room for the behind the scenes content, people figured cuts were going to be made for a reasonable theatrical runtime.
Unfortunately, some tracks won’t be making the cut (hopefully a live album would have the entire show and/or an extended cut of the film for streaming).
I can’t for the life of me understand why she would cut LOVE ON TOP! It’s a big crowd participation moment of the show. At the bare minimum, she should have kept the sing-along portion. In a show full of “deep cuts”, so to speak, another big hit would have been welcome for casuals. Ah well…
But otherwise, the rest of the show is intact, intercut with vignettes of behind the scenes footage of making the tour, and family life.
