Ballston Lake man arraigned for alleged burglaries

BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. (NEWS10)– A Ballston Lake man was arraigned in Saratoga County Court on Friday for several alleged burglaries in Clifton Park and Saratoga Springs. Court officials said Shaun Sheriff, 32, is facing multiple charges, including burglary and grand larceny.
According to the Office of the District Attorney of Saratoga County, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrested Sheriff five times in June. Sheriff’s first arrest was on Friday, June 7, and again on Sunday, June 9, after he allegedly stole money from a closed business.
Charges
- Second-degree burglary
- Four counts of third-degree burglary
- Two counts of fourth-degree grand larceny
- Five counts of petit larceny
Deputies said the Sheriff was arrested again on Monday, June 17, for breaking into another closed Clifton Park business, stealing, and breaking property. Deputies also said they arrested Sheriff on Saturday, June 22, accusing him of entering a person’s home and stealing credit cards.
Deputies last arrested Sheriff on Monday, June 24, accusing him of unlawfully entering a Stewart’s Shop in Clifton Park, where he allegedly stole a pack of cigarettes. Sheriff is scheduled to appear in court again on Monday, Sept. 30, at 11 a.m.
