Avianca Airlines has named chief operating officer Frederico Pedreira as deputy CEO, effective immediately, the carrier announced Tuesday. Pedreira had been COO since 2021. His new remit will include “operations, human talent, technology, corporate communications, customer promise and institutional relations,” according to the carrier.
Taking over as COO is Gabriel Oliva, who also will remain CEO of Cargo for Avianca. His responsibilities will include maintenance, safety, network and ground operations, service delivery, airports, and cabin crew and pilots, along with running the cargo business.
Adrian Neuhauser will continue as CEO of Avianca and deputy CEO of the Abra Group, the holding company of Avianca and Gol airlines.
