“The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom” got a new trailer in the February Nintendo Direct, as well as a collector’s edition and an amiibo of Link using one of his new powers.
The collector’s edition includes a special box featuring artwork from the game, an artbook, a physical copy of the game and a SteelBox case, an ICONART steel poster, and a pin set containing four enamel pins featuring symbols from the game. “Tears of the Kingdom” collection edition costs $189 and Australian pre-orders pre-orders are now live.
Tapping the Link amiibo on your Nintendo Switch will give you special in-game weapons and materials, including a special fabric for Link’s paraglider. Nintendo has also confirmed that you can scan amiibo of other Zelda characters to unlock additional rewards in “Tears of the Kingdom”. Pre-orders for the Link amiibo are also live for around $21, though prices vary slightly between retailers.
