Auburn: Police dispose of jars of ‘free organic cage free weed’ that was left near school as holiday gift ??!! | Cannabis Law Report

AUBURN, Calif. (CNN) – While it is the season of giving, police in California said this type of gift isn’t quite the way to go.

In a social media post from the Auburn Police Department, authorities said they found a “free weed” display near a high school on Sunday.

A cardboard sign left at the display read “Merry Christmas! Free weed! Organic and cage free.”

The display included 29 mason jars of marijuana.

Police said a neighbor called it in and the marijuana was disposed of responsibly, adding that a box of “free weed” is not the way to spread holiday cheer.
