MONTH OF March

Get ready for a whole new view. March is a major turning-point month, especially for you, Aries. Despite the Sun being in Pisces and your restful twelfth house until March 20, this is an active time—a 180-degree switch from last month’s comparatively calm cosmic calendar.

Where to begin? Well, let’s talk about all the “Aries high season” activity going on. Expansive Jupiter has been in your sign since December 20, 2022, and it will continue rocketing you into bold new terrain until May 16. The spring equinox kicks off Aries season on March 20, followed by the first of a rare duo of Aries new moons on March 21 (heads up: the next one’s a solar eclipse on April 20). Romantic Venus is in Aries until March 16, then communicator Mercury enters the Ram’s room on March 19. Translation: It’s time to “do you” and prioritize your personal passions and projects.

The other headline news involves two major, slow-moving outer planets—Saturn and Pluto—returning to zodiac signs they haven’t visited since 1996 and 1798, respectively!

On March 7, in sync with the Virgo full moon, structured Saturn will exit Aquarius and move into Pisces for three years. For the past three years, Saturn’s been in Aquarius, the sign of groups and society. Most astrologers agree that Saturn’s fingerprints are all over the pandemic. (It first arrived in Aquarius in March 2020, right when U.S. Covid lockdowns began.)

With Saturn moving into your spiritual and imaginative twelfth house, you could get serious about working in the healing arts or pursuing a creative path or a mindfulness practice. As Saturn shifts from techie and impersonal Aquarius into compassionate and boundless Pisces, a very different energy will shape the rest of the decade between now and February 13, 2026.

This would be more than enough to navigate, but the stars are just getting warmed up. Mighty Pluto, ruler of the unconscious and transformation, will make its first foray out of Capricorn this March 23, where it’s been since 2008. Get ready for a sneak preview of the next TWO decades, Aries. Pluto is making a brief return to Aquarius until June 11, then it will make a last sprint through Capricorn before settling into Aquarius next year until 2044. For context, Pluto’s last run through Aquarius was from 1778 to 1798, right after the birth of the United States.

For you, Pluto’s relocation from Capricorn to Aquarius marks a shift of focus from your tenth house of career into your eleventh house of groups and society. Your “soul work” for the past 15 years was around ambition, family of origin issues (especially with your father) and your professional path. It now involves learning how to play well with others and collaborate.

But that’s not all, Aries! Your ruling planet, Mars, also makes its first zodiac sign change since August 2022, ending an extended visit to Gemini. Normally Mars visits each sign for six to eight weeks, but every other year, when it turns retrograde, it takes an extra-long sabbatical in just one place. This March 25, the red planet moves on to Cancer, exiting your communication zone and moving into your domestic fourth house.

Luckily, you’re a sign that loves a challenge, and you may welcome the kinetic energy that March unleashes. Take things a day and a dose at a time, even if you’re tempted to do it all at once.

The new rules for you? Although Jupiter in Aries hyper-activates your independent side, Saturn and Pluto encourage you to pace yourself and learn how to build a power team that can take your vision to new heights and breadth.

It’s Pisces season until March 20

‘Tis the season for feeling and healing. With the Sun in Pisces and your twelfth house of rest, closure and emotional processing until March 20, you’ll need to pace yourself. During this time, you’ll have less energy to offer loved ones and friends, in terms of help and sympathy. They’ll do fine without you, Aries. Prize your needs above others, and know that your true friends will get it, no questions asked!

To process your feelings, you may want to pick up a journal and free-write. Or perhaps your Rx of choice is cranking up ethereal tunes and getting lost in a musical haze. The more TLC you give yourself, the more you might see what, in fact, needs to be healed. Are you clinging to an outworn resentment? Above all, listen to your intuition, Aries. Trust the universe (and your inner knowing) show you the signposts toward your next big move.

A couple weeks of contemplation sounds restorative, but this Pisces season, it won’t be easily done with so much going on. The second you kick off your boots or put cheek to pillow, you could get a raging case of FOMO. Restless Jupiter is in Aries, making it hard to keep calm. Our advice: Be discerning about which exciting plans you choose. That way, you can show up fully for the ones that will be most meaningful, and skip the “meh” invitations in favor of some well-deserved rest. A little while space on your Google calendar will go a long way!

The March 7 Virgo full moon revitalizes your energy

March 7 is a big day in the stars. Not only is Saturn making its first sign change in three years, but the skies will serve up a full moon in Virgo and your sixth house of health, organization and systems. This clarifying full moon could help you streamline any disorderly parts of your life—or at the very least, it will shine a light on them. Is it time to do a deep clean or a pre-spring decluttering?

These purifying Virgo moonbeams can also inspire a fitness kick. With the full moon in wellness-minded Virgo, you may get a surge of motivation to start exercising and eating more healthfully. Take inventory of your habits and see where you could be more mindful. Where is stress taking a toll? The sixth house rules supportive people, and you might add a savvy service provider to Team Aries. Bid the slackers adieu and bring on the high performers!

With the full moon in this helpful chart sector, you might be tempted to try to “save the day” for a friend or jump in to resuscitate a floundering work project. Careful, Ram! In the codependent fog of Pisces season, your hero’s mission might turn out to be a fool’s errand. Direct people to helpful resources instead of volunteering your own time and energy.

This full moon will form an auspicious 120-degree trine to innovative Uranus in Taurus and your second house of work and money. Your organizing efforts could clear a path for prosperity. Keep your ears perked for a job opportunity that lets you make a difference or be part of a world-bettering effort. Is there a client who needs help telling a heart-stirring “behind the business” story? Who better than an Aries to help them create that attention-grabbing hook. Whatever your skill set may be, this year’s Virgo full moon is an opportunity to use your superpowers to do good!

A whole new world: Saturn enters Pisces on March 7

The first major change of March arrives right in tandem with the full moon. On March 7, Saturn, the planet of structure, foundations and long-term goals, will start a three-year tour of Pisces and your healing twelfth house.

Between now and February 13, 2026, the ringed planet will be serving up tough but important lessons about boundaries, spirituality and your inner state. This is a time of major growth, and you may be called upon to make mature decisions or learn new skills that take time to master. From your emotions and mental health to your subconscious mindset, the saying “as within, so without” will ring especially true.

Saturn was last in Pisces from May 21, 1993, to April 7, 1996. If you’re old enough to remember what was happening during that time, look back for clues of what might resurface now. (And if you were born then, welcome to your very first Saturn return!)

The challenge will be balancing the contrasting energies of structured Saturn against the boundary-blurring tendencies of Pisces and your twelfth house. You may become keenly aware of relationships that are in need of firmer parameters. Maybe you didn’t notice it or maybe it’s just a new Saturn phase, but people who demand too much of your attention will start to seem irritating, if not outright draining. Aries, you’re the sign of the individual, and you need “me time.” Sacrificing your autonomy does nobody any good.

So what will you do with this newfound calendar space? With Saturn traipsing through this spiritual and imaginative zone, your creative pursuits could finally get dedicated time. If you’ve got aspirations to be a healer or study a spiritual modality, Saturn will support that. But remember: This planet is a slow-cooker, not a microwave. Serious study, dedication and hours will be required because Saturn’s goal is mastery. (Translation: You’ll have to keep that Aries impatience in check.) Steer clear of false gurus and unqualified “experts” and go for the real deal. Similarly, don’t hang your shingle as a pro for anything that you haven’t been certified or properly trained in.

Have you outgrown some of the friendships in your life? You’ll be saying goodbye to Saturn in Aquarius, where it’s been since March 21, 2020, strengthening your ability to play well with others. Ever since the pandemic’s “official” start in the United States, Aries have had to learn important lessons about teamwork and collaboration—not always your strength as the zodiac’s boss. Look back over the past three years and you’ll notice that your inner circle might be smaller, but it’s probably a whole lot tighter (and mightier!).

In Saturn’s final Aquarian week, you may decide to officially join a collaboration or exit from a leadership role in a group. Don’t be surprised if that’s a front-burner issue now—and with Pluto moving into Aquarius in a couple weeks, it will continue that way!

Final Mars-Neptune square on March 14

Follow logic or take the intuitive path? Your ruling planet, Mars, has its last hurrah before leaving Gemini, where it’s been since August 20, 2022. Mars will exit the sign of the Twin on March 25, but on the 14th, it makes the third of three challenging 90-degree squares with receptive Neptune in Pisces. This tension could create chaos and confusion since Mars is in your third house of communication, making you argumentative and quick to jump to conclusions. Aries, there are certain things that facts and information can’t explain. That’s where Neptune, ruler of the subconscious, chimes in from the mystical depths of Pisces. Pause, breathe and listen. If you’ve been pushing too hard for an answer, do your best to release control and see what divine downloads come in when you do.

Should you find yourself in the role of “guru,” think twice before dishing out advice today. Are you qualified to speak to this person’s issue? If not, better to direct them toward helpful resources than get entangled. Look back to the prior Mars-Neptune squares in these signs on October 12 and November 19, 2022. This concluding square might help you finally strike the right balance between head and heart. Release what’s not yours and take responsibility for what is. A helpful sign from the universe could finally point the way.

Aries season starts March 20 and Aries new moon is March 21

And…you’re back! The Sun swings into Aries on March 20, and the cosmic spotlight is once again on you. Now that’s more like it! To amplify your individuality, this year we’ve got expansive Jupiter and expressive Mercury both in Aries. You won’t hold back from sharing your visionary ideas, nor should you. While you DO want to think through your delivery, don’t overthink it. If you have a great idea, start brainstorming and see what it could develop into.

Your prescription for spring: Let your passion lead the way, Ram! Dive into a plan for a startup venture or a solo creative project. If you’ve been hiding your light or second-guessing yourself, take the lead. When you shine, Aries, you give others permission to do the same.

A great day to go for it is March 21, when the Aries new moon kicks off your personal new year. It’s a huge day for you! Over the next six months, this clarity could turn your visions into tangible wins.

But that’s not all: This year, there are a rare TWO new moons in your sign instead of just one. The next, which arrives April 20, will also be a potent solar eclipse. Prepare to be rocketed forward onto a new path or to make a quantum leap in your independent pursuits. You’ve also got cosmic permission to prioritize YOUR life now, so make time to do that. While you might fork off onto an entirely unexpected new trail, once the dust settles, you can trust that it will be much better suited to the person you’re becoming…and are evolving into next.

Sneak preview: Pluto enters Aquarius from March 23 to June 11

March won’t be going out like a lamb this year, Aries (maybe more like a serpent…or a fire-breathing dragon!). On March 23, the skies serve up a massive transformational event, when powerhouse Pluto leaves Capricorn for the first time since 2008, making a three-month pit stop in Aquarius before returning for TWO whole decades next year (from November 19, 2024, until January 19, 2044, to be exact).

Get ready to usher in a whole new era in teamwork, Aries. Until 2044, which seems like an unimaginable date to write about, your success will decidedly be about “who you know.” There could be both allies and enemies hiding in plain sight who step up and reveal themselves once secretive, calculating Pluto arrives in Aquarius.

Pluto stays in each zodiac sign for 12 to 30 years, which means it only returns to a sign every 248 years. It was last in Aquarius from 1778 to 1798, a pivotal time in the birth of the United States.

Are you ready to make a career change? Pluto’s LONG transit through Capricorn and your professional tenth house began all the way back in January 2008, and you’ve gone through quite a number of transitions since then, working to align your goals with your soul. While it’s not uncommon to change careers over the span of 15 years, Pluto’s presence may have forced you to do some deep emotional reckoning, perhaps even reinventing yourself a couple times over. If it all felt particularly intense, know that Pluto was honing your leadership chops and helping you make the best possible choices around your life path.

This year is particularly powerful for you, Ram. Not only is lucky Jupiter in Aries until May 16, but the destiny-driven north node will move into Aries mid-July. Get ready for a “spring awakening” that will show you just how impactful you’ve become. Now, you can use these superpowers to help so many people and leave a mark on society on a much wider scale in the coming months and years.

Where’s the action? For the first half of May, fun might be a higher priority than full-on romance. Until March 16, Venus is flitting through your sign, while action-planet Mars is in upbeat Gemini until March 25, making you a flirtatious social butterfly. Even if you’re in a serious relationship, you’ll need some space to “do you” and be spontaneous. And when Venus unites with expansive Jupiter in Aries on March 2, the sky’s the limit for your love life.

A partner with a plan will need to learn the fine art of spontaneity to keep you interested! Whatever your status, allow yourself to be playful and follow your natural inquisitiveness. Single? With the red planet revving up this interpersonal zone, there shouldn’t be any shortage of options!

Mars has been making an extended run through Gemini since August 20, 2022, and this is its last full month here. But it won’t go out quietly: On March 14, the red planet will lock into a challenging square with Neptune in your twelfth house of fantasy and deception. Anyone who dares to betray you had better watch out! But careful, Ram: You’ll be quick to leap to conclusions without the facts today.

The romantic winds shift direction on March 16. Suddenly, you could be the one singing the “so, where is this thing going?” tune. Venus will glide into sensual Taurus and your security sector until June 8, setting your sights on security. Your ruler Mars makes a similar move on March 25, touching down in sentimental Cancer and your domestic house until May 20, an emotional time when you’ll crave more reassurance and nurturing.

Some Rams will have bonding, nesting and bambinos on their mind while others may be more focused on work and saving money for a rainy—or a very sunny—day. If you’ve spent too much time in your head while ignoring your heart, get ready for a tidal wave of feelings.

A tide-turning day could arrive on March 30, when Venus makes an exact meetup with spontaneous Uranus in Taurus, which could spark a sudden desire to change things up, either getting more serious or freeing yourself from an overly-binding situation. That same day, Mars in Cancer makes a golden trine to serious Saturn in Pisces. You may need to take a chance and wear your heart on your sleeve. Don’t expect someone to read your mind and know how you feel about them. Be the grownup and articulate your emotions. With the Venus-Uranus conjunction giving you a surge of confidence, you’ve got nothing to lose!

Lucky Jupiter is bounding through your sign until May 16, giving you the guts to go for your dreams. But for the first three weeks of the month, you’ll need to take breaks to turn inward. With the Sun in Pisces and your imaginative twelfth house until March 20, your creative right brain is getting a workout. Slow down long enough to channel the muse and hear what your intuition is saying. Once the Sun moves into Aries on March 20, it’s game on. The Aries new moon on March 21, accompanied by lucky Jupiter and clever Mercury in your sign, is a great day to launch a passion project or make a big ask.
