AGAWAM, Mass. (WWLP) – The Agawam Historical Association hosted its first post-pandemic banquet in conjunction with its annual meeting, where they ate, mingled, and received a presentation on the late Harry Houdini.
The association is known for operating the Agawam Historical Firehouse Museum and owns the Thomas Smith house in Feeding Hills.
The vice president of the association David Cecchi, talked about what the return of this annual event means for him and fellow members, “It’s an organization, like a lot of organizations that struggled after the pandemic, trying to find our footing and try to get back to some sort of normal.”
Along with a presentation on Houdini, new slated officers were voted in. On Memorial Day, the association also plans to host a sneak preview of the reopening of the museum, which hasn’t been open since the pandemic.
