The most famous sports bar in the Triangle is having a birthday party, and you get to take a ride in a time machine.

Raleigh’s legendary Players Retreat is turning 75 this week. To celebrate, the PR is offering beer and hot dog prices from the year it was born, 1951.

On Thursday, Feb. 26, the PR is only charging 25 cents for hot dogs and 35 cents for Budweiser drafts.

Imagine how much better a beer and hot dog will taste when you erase seven decades of inflation.

The deal expires at 9 p.m., unless all the hot dogs and Bud are gone before then.

Situated across Hillsborough Street from NC State, the PR is primarily a Wolfpack bar, but its legendary status has been embraced by all fans. The PR is routinely included in roundups of the best sports bars in the country and South.
