When two different royals wear the same bag brand to the same event, you know they’re on to something good. Kate, Princess of Wales, and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, wore Strathberry to the Order of the Garter ceremony this week, joining Meghan Markle as fans of the Scottish brand.

The royalty-approved brand is now making news for a different reason: Strathberry has just launched its first alternative-leather collection, and I couldn’t be more excited. “The new styles are skillfully handcrafted to a perfect finish with smooth grape leather, made in Italy with progressive techniques repurposing waste materials from the wine-making industry,” Strathberry said in a statement.

The collection came to life with the help of celebrity stylist Tara Swennen, who works with clients such as Kristen Stewart, Ali Wong, Allison Janney, Shailene Woodley, and others. “Strathberry’s dedication to embracing innovative materials and a more responsible approach to fashion and business is admirable,” Swennen said in a statement. “I feel lucky to have been part of this project and have accompanied them in their ongoing sustainability journey.” Without further ado, scroll down to shop the new grape-leather bags.
