You’ll be making these Chocolate Hazelnut Balls on repeat this year
Sitting here posting these today but they’ve been sitting in my freezer for the past month. Smart-self back in December (amidst all that chaos) thought January-hit-the-ground-running-self would really appreciate a quick snack and these were the result.
They taste like you nut-ella-what, but better, and have the added beauty and bonus nutrients such as:
- magnesium in cacao,
- fibre in dates,
- plant proteins and healthy fats to satiate appetite in hazelnuts,
- and if you pop in some of your go-to protein powder you’re making them a skin loving, extra protein rich snack too.
CHOCOLATE HAZELNUT BALLS

2-3 tablespoons maple syrup

Soak dates in boiling water for 10 minutes. Drain water into a jar and use in your smoothie. Pop the dates and remaining ingredients in a food processor and blitz to form a dough. Measure heaped tablespoons, roll and coat with hemp seeds. Store in fridge up to 2 weeks or freezer for 3 months.
