70s and sunshine this weekend

[ad_1]

PORTLAND, Oregon — Portland hit 66-degrees Thursday, its warmest day of the year so far, but today will see the first 70 degree temperatures of the year in the Rose City.  That’s more than a month earlier than last year.

Offshore winds will pick up Friday and aid the warming.  Look for valley highs in the 70s this weekend.  Coast temperatures will also warm with highs in the mid 60s to 70 degrees expected today and Saturday.  A cooler west breeze with possible cloudiness will return to local beaches Sunday.  A Sneaker Wave Warning has been posted for today and Saturday.

Dry weather will hold through the day Tuesday.  Spring begins Tuesday night at 8:06 pm.

Showers may finally return Wednesday and Thursday with Cascades snow in the forecast.
