500 derelict vessels pulled from waters by Miami-Dade

In 2007 Miami-Dade County started counting derelict boats pulled from coastal waters and in late August extracted its 501st abandoned vessel areas from Maule Lake to Manatee Bay, from the Oleta River to the Miami River, and throughout Biscayne Bay.
