Police said the victims were walking on the sidewalk when people inside a dark-colored sedan fired shots.
Video from one of the hospitals a couple of the victims went to for treatment shows a black SUV riddled with bullet holes.
A business owner showed ABC7 surveillance video of the shooting, but did not feel comfortable sharing it.
Five to six hooded people could be seen jumping out of a parked car…armed with rifles and handguns and shoot in the direction of the music studio. The gunmen peel away in the car, some still firing their guns.
Two men, ages 24 and 25, were driven to Community First Hospital and later transferred to Illinois Masonic Medical Center in good condition, police said.
Two other men, ages 20 and 24, were transported by the Chicago Fire Department to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where they were in good condition, police said.
Jeff Ulrich, who lives nearby said he heard a barrage of gunfire early Thursday morning.
“About 2:30 this morning, all of the sudden I woke up and heard gunshots and it sounded like automatic machine guns or something going back and forth, probably about 20, 30 shots,” Ulrich said. “It went on for a good five minutes or more.”
Ulrich said he couldn’t believe it at first.
“Just surprising for this area, very quiet,” Ulrich said. “Other than the trains, there’s not a whole lot going on back here.”
Area Five detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting. No one is in custody, police said.
