(KRON) — Four people and two dogs were displaced after a fire broke out overnight Saturday at a San Leandro home, the Alameda County Fire Department (ACFD) said. Around 2:02 a.m., more than 24 firefighters were dispatched to the 800 block of Melcher Street.
The fire was primarily in the home’s backyard but threatened three buildings, including the main house, officials said. The house sustained smoke and fire damage, and no major injuries were reported.
